I pray it gets to #745 for me thats the real value of our currency.. So we can look inward since it will be cheaper then to manufacture with local materials
A boy who has never run a business is talking about looking inward. Do you even know that the machines and some raw materials need to be imported so at the end the cost will be deflected to the final consumers

Hello pretydiva, please don't wait for naira-dollar parity as it really don't matter in real terms. What matters is for us to continue to grow our economy.

With a population of towards 200million people, Nigeria's economy of US$420Bn needs to grow by multiples of nine for our GDP per capita (nominal) to average US$18,000.00! We are presently averaging GDPpcn of US$3k!!!

There is sooo much work to be done and sooo much effort is required to build this geographical expression into a nation. You and I could be phenomenally well to do in this Nigeria even with naira rate of N900/$. Just look at Japan and you will get my point.

They run structured Forex shops and you don't see them soliciting for business on the road as common in Nigeria. You walk into a Forex shop with your National ID/Passport and buy any foreign currency of your choice within minutes. Their is always availability of forex because exporters and tourists prefer selling to Forex shops.
