Even though am a bit of a car enthusiast, i have only owned one till date A 2002 HONDA ACCORD, i bought that car at 25(Considering what it entails to feed 3 times a day in this country i considered it a feat then to cough out over a Million Naira to acquire a car).

My Job entails me traveling round the country frequently, Am based in Abuja and having mastered the roads in different parts/regions of the country and their conditions i adopted a pattern that paid off, Each time i had to travel to the Northern part of the Country i did by Road and my 'Baby Boy' was ever reliable, at my beck and call.
To the SE/SS I did by air, Some part of the SW by Road and others especially Lagos by air.

However, i had an accident with my car and it was never the same again after then coupled with my poor maintenance culture, aside Oil Change and a few other minor maintenance work i hardly gave the car any serious attention.

Now, am set to get another car but am torn between these two: 2003 TOYOTA COROLLA S and 2003 HONDA ACCORD.

Checks on different websites and car blogs on the internet tips the Corolla miles ahead of the accord Mileage wise but am still in Love with the Honda Brand and Accord Specifically, haven learned from those Mistakes from my first car i think i won't get my fingers burnt this time around.

To the Gurus in the House, I need Answers to these fews questions:

1. With Proper care and Maintenance would the 2003 Accord otherwise called E.O.D be as reliable as the 'Baby Boy'?

2. How Affordable are replacement parts for E.O.D?

3. How best do i forestall the 'leg pulling out' syndrome?

4. Can the Corolla S with a 1.8 L Engine match up the E.O.D with a 2.4L Engine?

5. Any other information that would be helpful in helping me make the right choice.

Corolla all the way man .. I own a 2004 model been rocking it since 2014 .corolla is very easy to maintain full tank at 13gallons that's abt 39.5 litres .. Corolla anytime any day

Well that's the picture of my car and I have a full tank with 40Litres .. Guess tanks varies or your tank has expanded if there's anything like tht

Plz can u explain further on why u would rather have gotten a corolla,cos I'm contemplating on getting either a corolla(bank type), camry(big daddy) and an EOD .

Well I think or rather thought it was my luck, but after going online searching for problems and reviews of the 2003 Accord, I now realised I should have gone for a Toyota, sadly this was after I've bought the car. Mine is clean, very clean, with a very low millage, but the issue is that it consumes oil a lot, and no, it does not smoke neither does it drop oil from anywhere, oil needs to be topped as often as possible. The solution they are proffering is scary, well i no get time now. I'll suggest go online read reviews both negative an positive, it will help make a better choice.

Checkout the link bro....listed why you shld buy a corolla, some alternatives, pros and cons.

U seem like u travel a lot. Corolla will work best for you. I've travelled to Sokoto from the S.West with my Corolla twice and I'm still rocking it.

That distance, a Honda, EOD esp would've had this handling problem. Honda is not good for bad roads like corolla. The handling is the problem.
