The question now is with all these trainings and exercises we see in pictures about our military in training, how come they keep running away from boko haram fighters when they strike ?

If you are an honest and upstanding citizen who has Nigeria's greatness at heart, please show me one single story of Nigerian troops running from boko haram since May 2015.

Successful attacks these days come with long range machine guns. Terrorists appear to realise this and always carry more of long range machine guns and few rifle handlers. This is why they easily overrun their enemies. We should learn our lessons.

Does the name "navy" mean the boys should only operate in water? What is expected of a modern elite fighting force is capability to perform at any given notice, under any given conditions. This means they must train for such, in advance.

The US navy SEAL's are the world's most famous special forces unit. They belong to the US Navy, yet they are Sea, Air and Land specialists. In fact, their most famous mission, taking out Osama Bin Laden, was carried out entirely on land.

Instead of hailing the foresight of our military commanders at a time when the nation is ravaged by conflict on multiple fronts, you are here finding faults. Okay o. You people should continue.
Yes,the navy operates on water mainly...and SEALs aint navy...check the meaning of SEAL ...Sea Air and Land...it a institution from the Us navy.....

Stop displaying your ignorance! The guy had already helped you out with some info.. you can at least google it up..

The United States Navy's SEa, Air and Land Teams, commonly known as the Navy SEALs, are the U.S. Navy's primary special operations force and a component of the Naval Special Warfare Command. Among the SEALs' main function is to conduct small-unit maritime military operations that originate from, and return to, a river, ocean, swamp, delta, or coastline

I hope your faculties have reported for duty this morning?

I said one instance of Nigerian soldiers "RUNNING" from boko haram. how does your story relate? In fact, if you can just show me one single instance of the word run (whether in past or present tense), in that article, i'd be grateful.

So US Navy Seals that fought in Iraq & Afghanistan are stupid.

Currently, The Nigerian Navy Special Boat Squad (SBS) is Nigeria's Tier 1 Special Operations Team.

Pictures OP posted are from Exercise Flintlock in Njadema, Chad....

NN SBS operators are currently deployed to FOB's around the Lake Chad area
Re: Nigerian Navy Officers Training In The Desert (Photos) by calyto: 11:53am On Oct 24, 2016
LIE!

SBS as they are called is the navy special squad and it started in 2009 when GEJ wasn't the president.
They select a few physically and mentally fit personnel who go through rigorous training sessions from underwater warfare school in Navy town Ojo(close to sailing club), before they are sent to train both in the creeks and in the desert

GBTYO:
The only disciplined and least compromised fighting unit in Nigeria.

The navy has strong ties with the US signed under GEJ to form the equivalent of the US Navy SEAL Team 6.
