Its called so many names in Nigeria such as; toilet disease, candidia infection, virginal itching, I am reacting to toilet, I wore wet pants.
If you attended a boarding school you will hear and see a lot of these, the prevalence is very high.
In Nigeria, most times they just give tetracycline and flagyl (yes it works, but too many medicine and bitter) or some messy chemist give antibiotics (trust me it doesn't work cos its not a bacterial infection).
there is also this pill that they insert I know canesten insert pill and fluconazole (just one oral tablet)

My dear, both tetracycline & flagyl (metronidazole) are antibiotics too.In fact, they are some of the most abused anti-biotics, especially to self-treat running stomach. The result is increased bacterial drug resistance.

Like you also mentioned, antifungals like the azole group are usually first line.

BUT always consult your doctor FIRST.

@ Op, another struggle females relate to is Spotting. That's your period comes like two weeks after your actual period, but not as serious as the normal period.
