Hi everyone, is there anyone interested in studying polymer chemistry or chemistry generally. One of my professors was just asking me if I know any smart Nigerian seeking admission in Chemistry. The school is Louisiana state university and they have a really good chemistry program and all students are fully funded. I realize I'm starting to sound like a sales person . It is very important to pick a subject that you can obtain good results.
It is good to find out the speciality of potential lecturers. (This is much more important for a PhD.)

Great result but hopefully she's not going for a course which requires biology
And chances of getting funded definitely depends on the SAT.
And materials, save yourself the stress and get them at ojuelegba or the US embassy.

I got my visa without writing any standard exam. But i read on this tread it's advisable to write a standard English exam to improve eligibility for a scholarship. Please I would appreciate your assistance/ advise on how to go about it as I have not even registered yet and I don't know the process. Also please which of them do you advise I write and how difficult /easy is it. Thanks

Is it fake?

You might not be able to get a US visa for a long while if at all! There's really nothing you can do...you can't appeal their decision even if you wanted to. You'd probably even have issues at other embassies/consulates.

You guys should understand that hundreds of students get visas with virgin passports. Even if you don't get it the first time, you get a chance to come back and retry. It's not worth it.
If you do some fraud..and get caught, it can even have criminal consequences!

How is it a fake, i have been to Dubai.... they only stamp you at the point of entry and exit, more also the stamp colour is blue for entry and green for exit, dont know if this is general but this is whats on my pasport...Dubai Visa is paper not in passport. Also Nig Immigration will stamp it exit and entry both green colour. Are this not what happen in your case.. why do they conclude its fake. Pls expatiate on this.

This process u explained is when you go through the right process...... others go through other process which can cause problems later and become impossible to correct. .... if two embassies have made same comment about this UAE stamp then the hint is that that stamp was not got through the process you just described ......

Hello, everyone.Please, I will like some answers to questions because I am a newbie in applying for scholarships and studying abroad, A friend gave me a link to this thread for unanswered questions and clarification. I am a graduate of English Language with a cgpa of 3.98 and from the information I got from my friend, to get an already paid for MA, all i need to do is write GRE, get a really good score and apply to tier B schools in the US, and then apply for assistantship. This is a great result. But she'll struggle to get a major that has to do with a Biological Science.

Concerning SAT though, there are lots of fantastic study materials online and most of these materials are free of charge. She could download all of them and start by studying them first, before going out to buy the ones sold in the market.

I guess, by the time she might have studied these online books, she will definitely know her weakness, if any, before getting additional books. A good and quality preparation would have evolved.

I'm sure you know there are lots of differences between both courses. While in a lot of cases people specialize in coding and design in CS, IT may be servers,databases etc. Not a general classification, but that should give you an idea on how to defend your choice degree.

If I had a choice between MS in Computer Science and MBA, I would go for a MS in CS..

Good evening house, I have been a silent reader of this room for quite a while and I have to say a big thank you to many here whose posts have really helped me in prepping for my GRE and IELTS. By God's grace I have recieved admission from Michigan Tech (MTU) for MS in Environmental Engineering but no funding. I have sent tons of emails for assistantship but nothing has helped. I will really appreciate it if anyone knows what I can do to secure funding because I don't have any cash for the programme and Naija don frustrate me already. Please help. Thank you.
