Its written in your manual, but I'd advice you get a synthetic 5W40 suitable for diesel engines.

Vehicle Air Conditioning Maintenance Tips
How to ensure a long, trouble-free operation of your car’s air conditioning system
Maintaining your air conditioning system means that you always have enough refrigerant to properly do the job.
Small leaks in the vehicle’s air conditioning system allow the refrigerant to escape and the system can’t cool the air as well.
Keeping Cool recommends that you regularly check your vehicles air conditioner system.
The obvious faults which are associated with an Air Conditioning systems breaking down are;
The drive belt tension
Blocked air flow through the Condenser and Radiator
Visible signs of Refrigerant oil stain at the compressor, hoses, pipes or fittings.
Loose or faulty compressor mounting brackets
Service port caps missing
Anything beyond this visual inspection then requires a full Air Conditioning Service. Only a fully qualified air conditioning technician can carry out this service. Keeping Cool is a certified air conditioning repairer and can carry out all necessary repairs to get your air vehicles conditioner working to its optima performance Check out dara autotech/mosbus cool ENTERPRISES.
Tips For Maintaining A Car Air Conditioner
Running the air conditioner once a week for 10 minutes will maintain the gas pressure. This prevents hardening of the hoses and compressor seals failure. Turn the air conditioner to its coolest setting and highest fan speed. Run the ‘defrost’ mode for five to ten minutes to clean out accumulated moisture. This prevents mildew and prevents that dirty wet cloth odor in the system.
Remember your air conditioning system does not only cool your vehicle but in addition one of its primary functions is to remove the humidity from the cabin. So it is good practice to use your air conditioner in winter to keep your windscreen free of fog which impairs your visibility.
By allowing all car windows to remain closed, even on the hottest days, the aerodynamics of the car remain at optimum, keeping fuel consumption low and exterior noise to a minimum, increasing safety to the driver and passengers.
You may not be aware that over 10% of air-con gas permeates from the air-con system every year, which means that it may not work as well as it should. This is why car manufacturers recommend your Air-Con system is recharged with gas and lubricant every 2 years.
It is good practice to get a full air conditioning service at least every two years. Try and do this before the hotter month’s start, as this will ensure that you are not caught out by a sudden heat wave at the start of the season.
This will enable you to keep ahead of any system faults or potential compressor failure.
A poorly maintained system operating on a low amount of oil and gas will reduce your compressors capacity to run efficiently costing you extra in fuel.
Maintaining A Healthy State For Your Car Air-Conditioning
A car air-conditioning system can be a breeding ground for harmful bacteria and fungus. This is particularly important for sufferers of asthma or allergies.
At Keeping Cool we have the latest Ozone machine to carry out this service we can treat the cooling evaporator also the cabin air filter and entire car interior, killing all the bugs and leaving your car air conditioning smelling sweetly.
This treatment is designed to protect you and your passengers and also help to remove the musty odor that can be evident from the air conditioner vents. For more information call;dara autotech/mosbus cool,08026941215,08037586148 or 08032089850

Hahaha. grin grin grin grin

Who laughed the last?

So your car is still very much available after 3 months.
Remember I was almost practically begging you to sell that car for 1.1m, you were very very rude to me, telling me to go to Cotonou or anywhere else to buy a W202, or even buy a stolen car that your own W202 is sold for 1.3m. I told you I would get it less than that, you told me its impossible in Naija. I got it that same week in Benin for 1m. Yes, I got a mint blue coloured 2000 model W202 for 1m clean with very clean leather upholstery a C220 auto with CD loader at the boot. With complete customs duty in Benin, Edo state.
Here you are now, practically begging someone to buy your own for a price less than you'd ever expect.
Hahahahahaha grin grin grin grin
Karma is a Byätch.

C220 was last produced in 1997 and was replaced with C230 in 1998. If am correct, C220 is a prefacelift model.
Stand to be corrected.

On its debut, the C-Class was the only Mercedes model with a complete lineup of multi-valve engines. The new family of four-cylinder petrol units, called
M111, debuted in the C 180 (1.8 L, 122 PS (90 kW; 120 hp)), C 200 (2.0 L, 136 PS (100 kW; 134 hp) and C 220 (2.2 L, 150 PS (110 kW; 148 hp), the only four-cylinder of the range sold in the U.S.). In 1997 the C 220 was replaced by the C 230, enlarged to 2.3 L displacement but with the same output,

Hello House,
Please is there anyone with an idea how much the head gasket for ML350 4matic 2008 is?. I noticed the engine oil mixing with water inside radiator. It looks bad. Do I need to be worried because it is just few months old. Thanks.

Hi the pre facelift models of the C300 wasnt packing enough punch so I went for the 2009 C350 which was fast and the C300 wasnt, but fast forward the 2012 Models the facelifted ones the C300 now packs as much power as the prefacelift C350 248bhp while the 2012 C350 got upgraded the 301bhp.

Personally I would advice the 2012 C350 thats my next car. I would advice the non 4matic cos it has cheaper suspension parts and you kick the tail and screech from a standstill lol.

read more below:
http://www.autoguide.com/manufacturer/mercedes-benz/2012-mercedes-c350-review-1862

I think a 350 is way out of sight in terms of power to a 300. If I remember correctly even a w203 c350 has got close to about 260hp. In e.u I think it's even git way more than that

Hi People,

Assist in making a decision pls. I am contemplating buying a C300 2010/2011 4matic or C350 almost same yr range. Had ever used a c180 2003 but it kips giving me issues that I had to dump it for a 406. Pls assist putting into consideration: cost of spare parts and fuel consumption.

To be honest, i would advice that should be your second car. But if you can maintain it go for it as a second car. those models are gradually slipping into the classic class

My Mercedes Vito bus has electric engine as my mechanic said. The vehicle is diesel engine too. The mechanic said I should change the engine to manual engine including the pedals that all are electric. His reasons are that electric engines gives issues so often and can enter code at any slightest issue which can make you spend so much. I don't have money now to start engine wahala so I want to know the Do's and Don'ts of electric engine so I can use it for sometime without issues.
