I'm applying for visitor visa to the UK, I will be sponsoring myself solely with my salary account, how ever I have another source of income from a registered partnership business with a friend which I receive money by cash I don't intend using it to support my travel, but there is a section in the application form that ask if I have any additional income and I want to know if I can state it and how I should go about it

Hello Justwise n co,please I need your help with paying for my visa application. .I've been trying to pay with my first bank debit card but it's not successful n I've submitted my application. I don't know anyone with a dorm account card who can help..please how can I go about it?
. There are several pay options at the foot of website, which paga is also one of them, make use of any of these

Sorry the passport will expiry in Nov 2017 not 2016 ? That a mistake
. Yes you can. Google search will point you uk application website. I think paga is also accepted as a means of uk visa payment , check the foot end of their websites for other payment options

. It will be advisable if you include that source of other income since it's a registered partnership ' it improves you chances of getting your application approve

I don't have bank statement for that only have invoices that shows evidence of the cash is it ok, and how do I make them understand I won't be sponsoring my self with that cash. And do I need to add the business registration certificate?

Please house, i am a first timer in contributing or asking questions here. kindly assist justwise & fellow experts; my refusal decision was 1st June, 2016. i intend reapplying this November against traveling in December. i receive a monthly salary of #350,210 (after tax). in my earlier application, my living cost & supporting family as filled by me amount to #230,000 leaving me with a balance of #120,000 monthly. i was denied on these grounds:

1. You state that you will travel to the UK for 10 days. When asked on the visa application from you what you will do in the UK you have stated tourism. You state that you have no family in Nigeria and that you intend to travel alone to the UK. Additionally, you state that you have no family or friends in the UK and intend to stay at the MANCHESTER AIRPORT HOTEL. You have given little indication as to how yo intend to spend your time, where you intend to travel, what sites of interest you intend to visit, and why in particular you have chosen the UK for your holiday. The Home Office website clearly advises applicant's on what could constitute acceptable evidence and information to support their application. I consider it reasonable to expect you to be able to demonstrate you have knowledge of your chosen destination and plans. In the absence of such information it is difficult for mr to make any considered judgement as to your true intentions.

2. You have stated on your application that you are employed as a marketing manager and earn 350,210NGN/1,216.12GBP (1GBP: 287.97NGN as per OANDA exchange rate) per month.

3. You have stated that you spend 230,000NGN per month on living costs and supporting your family leaving you with a disposable income of 120,000NGN/416.70GBP. You state that the cost to you personally of your visit is 2,261GBP. This is over 5 times your monthly income once family and living costs have been deducted and i am not satisfied this is credible considering your personal and financial circumstances.

4. In light of the above, I am not satisfied as to your intentions in wishing to travel to the United Kingdom or that you will leave the UK at the end of your visit. Furthermore, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds available to cover your costs whilst in the UK without working or accessing public funds. Your application for a visit visa has been refused under paragraph V4.2 (a) (e)

Further Applications.
Any further UK visa applications you make will be considered on their individual merits, however you are likely to be refused unless:
* your personal circumstances change significantly between now and your next application.
* you provide compelling new evidence with your next application.

NB: Please Note, my circumstance. I am SINGLE, I have been to the US & DUBAI (UAE), actually my US visa is still running and have used it once, secondly I never stated i have no family in Nigeria, I have my mum (who stays with me & in charge of her care as well as my young siblings I equally help with little stipends for school). I don't know if not having my own family (married) amounts to me not having a family in Nigeria. I equally stated in my form that i would be visiting OLD TRAFFORD as a MAN-U football fan/enthusiast, also MANCHESTER ART GALLERY, CHINA TOWN & go shopping at the TRAFFORD CENTRE.
My questions are : 1. Can I change this my new application to LONDON or stick to MANCHESTER?
2. Can I reduce my monthly living costs to about 170,000#/180,000# or stick to my previous 230,000#?
3. I intend staying now for just 5days ( is it okay). NOTE NOW, I have about 2.5M in my account as i submitted all necessary docs. Kindly assist me. God bless you!

First, remember that everything that you have told them is on record forever.
If you change all your figures and dates they may wonder why.
If you apply too soon they will only think that you are desperate to get to UK.

Best to wait some time and build up finances.

Thanks for your response, I appreciate a great deal. Even if i ain't altering what's on the system, at least can't i reduce my expenditure in the UK since I will be reducing my vacation days to 5days, I am asking this because a friend says I can reapply after 6months or thereabout. I am just all of a sudden a travel-freak (ajalatravel) "smiles" as I intend visiting "developed" countries for starters & since i have a 10-day end of year- off work break. My intention at the time of my first application was to go to the UK for my leave of absence since I have visited the US, but was denied instead I went to Dubai & returned immediately to resume work. Thanks for your input!

You can apply to UK if you can afford to loose the fee.
Hard to know how much information UK shares with Shengen area.
Again apply and find out.

They are asking you if you are going to visit OR stay with a close family relative who is settled in the Uk

@ Justwise, I went to the U.S. last year at my leave period & intended going to d UK equally for my leave, but when I was denied I went to UAE instead. I have a 10day off work every end of year, aside my leave at the mid-year & dat prompted me reapplying this November against December.
The yardstick for my denial baffles me, please help in any way to assist or address my new application. Thanks.

so, my first post here, tried reading a few pages back, but didn't see what am looking for.
my uk visa will expire sometime in feb 2017, I have a 3.5month trip lined up next month, which inadvertently will spill over pass the expiry date of my 2yr visa, so my question is do I reapply for a new visa?..or just travel like that and try to extend it after it expires [I that option even exists].
I got the 2yr visa in 2015, and used it for a 2wk trip that same yr

I have a question regarding UK Tier 2 points system. As a Nigerian, if I have university degree from a non-English speaking country, do I need to write IELTS or can I use my WAEC result as proof of English Language skills for the 10 points?

Considering the fact that you spent more than 50% of your salary on family needs leaving you with little over £200 a month to survive on you shouldn't be surprised that the ECO refused you a visa.

You stated that the trip will cost you more than £2000 in just 10days that means that your family will struggle to survive after that trip.

Is the 2.5M you have now from your salary? If yes then how did you managed to save that much between June and Nov?
