A delegation from the Newspapers led by the Managing Director and Editor in Chief, Mrs Funke Egbemode conveyed the message in a notification letter they brought when they paid the Governor a visit at the governor's Lodge, Amawbia.
The award which is the fifth the Governor is receiving in less than three years is in recognition of the laudable achievements his administration has recorded during the short period of time it had lasted.
Conveying the message, the leader of the delegation, Mrs Egbemode who said good governance is all about leaders knowing what they want to achieve and having a clear blueprint through which it goes all out to realize its objectives, acknowledged that Governor Obiano has exhibited traits of a good leader by the way he is administering the affairs of the state.
She said, it is commendable that when other Governors are intensifying their tax yoke on their people to be able to meet their statutory responsibilities, the governor is not only meeting its statutory obligations but also introducing economic palliatives to cushion the burden of the present economic recession on Ndi Anambra.
According to her, the company instituted the awards as part of its corporate social responsibility towards expanding the frontiers of excellence in good governance by recognizing and honouring distinguished service to humanity by leaders.
Responding, Governor Obiano who expressed delight that he was found worthy for the honour, revealed that a lot of local and international organizations have continued to recognize him, recognitions he emphasized were made possible through the support of Ndi Anambra across board.
