What they did was that when he counted the money at first and complained about it. He would have just give him an additional money since the phone is still in their pocket. But when he collected that money back from that guy that's where he changed the money, mind you it is getting dark. And the boy has already love the phone. So it was very easy to confused them.
There was nothing like juju there.

I bet you had it been they were not able to be tricked the guy will just say he is not interested again. Mind you he is an area boy his gang were all over the place and it can turn to a fight and they will still collect the money.

Atleast he has learnt something. I personaly knows how to treat them, i was there yesterday.

After I finished the officer did not even listen to the guys bleatings. The police officer just dipped his hands into the guys pocket brought out my money asked me to count if it was complete. I did and it was complete. If you see my coded joy ehn at this time, it now multiplied when oga officer went further to conduct more search and brought out the q10 and one other phone and asked for the receipt. The unfortunate guy couldn't produce it oya straight to station you will explain yourself there.
At this point I was planning my getaway, opportunity came when the second officer went back into the bar they came out from to settle the bills before we all head to the station I just approached the first officer who made the arrest and told him I was in a hurry that he should hold this #500 he said no problem that I should go and settle his second. I went to the second and lied that I had settle the first for the both of them. By now we had gotten back to under bridge, if u see the way I use speed and style to enter Yaba bus ehn looking over my shoulder the whole time. Na so I escape o leaving the unfortunate guy with the police and his partner in crime on the run.

After that experience I vowed never to buy even London use again. Buying brand new phones is better. Take it from a guy who has experienced many nasties involved with London Used from faulty phones to the one that they robbed a person of the phone at gun point and sold it to me 2days later, omotola the moment I realised I did not even wait went back to the place I got it from and sold it back to them. Awon alakoba.

ACTUALLY I SABI THOSE GUYS, I AM STILL MAPPING THE WAY I GO GET RIDE OFF THEM FROM CV, THE SAME THING HAD HAPPENED TO ME 2YEAR AGO BUT MY OWN BE 4K AND IT TURNED #65. I STILL THEY SEE THE GUY SELF.

upon all my brag say I fit recognize the real one....
my eye no open until I was on my way back home,only for me to discover that all my fingers could unlock the stupid chinko phone...
even the fingers of the stranger beside me in the danfo bus unlocked the phone...

I no fit cry....
na one maga I still sell am give for 40k

Not new in ikeja .. Et happens on a daily but surprisingly you got 2k back .. Etz usually 1k wrapped over newspapers or so.. Transport to go home I guess.. Next time when you see hungry(I never chop) ikeja boys with a very neat phone that their looks can't possibly never afford. Run

I had the same similar experience.. I give the guy my old phone with. 15k.. Men thid guy swapped this phone. With another similar phone.. The best thing na make you . turn deaf ears. To these guys..ifa thing no good shape..

Exactly they wud have turned the whole scenario to a fight if they weren't successful ..and still do away with the money. Most times they will ask their colleagues to follow u up and claim its a stolen phone then create a scene , the victim becomes scared not to be given jungle justice and will be willing to part with the money involved.

Reminds me of how a sister to an officer was scammed of about #50k a year ago. She randomly visited computer village till she met the same guy about 7 months later.

She called her brother who sent another young guy with some cash to target the scammer as if he wanted a phone too. They were 9 soldiers in total all in civil cloths, generously spaced out but observant.

After haggling, the guy paid freely & as usual they made one or two complaints & returned fake cash of course. When the guy busted their scam & refused to give back the phone, they threatened to beat him up cuz it was already getting dark, unknown to them soldiers were closing in.

Long story short, they (7 in number) were all bundled back to SE Airforce Base. You need to see their faces in the morning They cleared the grasses from front gate to main field, about #146k was found with them.
