Considering the fact that you spent more than 50% of your salary on family needs leaving you with little over £200 a month to survive on you shouldn't be surprised that the ECO refused you a visa.
You stated that the trip will cost you more than £2000 in just 10days that means that your family will struggle to survive after that trip.
Is the 2.5M you have now from your salary? If yes then how did you managed to save that much between June and Nov?
Thanks. I actually went with an account statement of about 1.6 thereabout. It was an oversight or should I say "oversabi" dat the higher d budget, d better or so......, not knowing it was my undoing. I intend spending just 5 days now & would want my budget looking good. Pls, I would need all d scolding in d world to make it right this time around. Not that it's a do or die affairs anyway, but it's what I've nurtured to achieve, I've always wanted to visit d UK. So, please am I eligible to reapply now? Does this budget look good for a 5-day vacation : FLIGHT- 500GBP (200k+), ACCOMMODATION - 235GBP (90k+) & COST OF LIVING EXPENSES/MISCELLANEOUS - 500GBP (200k+) or make a reduction to somewhere around 800GBP?:
Will this fly for me? Or should I give it a break till mid-year 2017? Lastly, d itinerary d ECO made mention of, I think I did my best & that's why I want to know if I should stick to MANCHESTER or LONDON or even another city. Thanks for ur prompt response. God bless U, richly.

No you don't. It's for applicants coming to the uk on long term. Eg staying in the UK for more than 6 months
Please I have a question I need help, my brother has invited me to come visit him for xmas in the uk he will be sending all his documents next week. My question is I work as a teacher in a state school but my salary was 52k and has been receiving only 70% for months now due to government not paying in full, now I take home 37k every month but since my brother is paying for the trip and he has already deposited some money in my acc last month do I have a chance of getting the visa?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Jugdement: 12:36pm On Nov 04, 2016
@ Dafuninest4life

Got same mail without reference number in March, and my application was approved. You honestly can't know until you open your package.

Your passport should be ready for pickup a day after the mail since it's Lagos. All the best!

Finally, when did you submit @ Ikeja TLS? Trying to get an idea of the current timeline.

Your budget is still high for 5days trip considering your net monthly income, if you go through with it you will end up spending more than 4months of your salary in 5days.

If i were you i will leave it till mid 2017 as you suggested.

Good evening house.
I applied for a Standard Visitor visa last month for an exam in the UK. The visa was issued last week but it was a 5 week visa ,expiring before my exam (despite the fact that I noted in the application I was going to travel on the 8th Nov and spend 5 weeks in the UK). Apparently the 5 weeks was counted from date of issue and not intended travel.
I have called and emailed UKVI but I keep getting standard "we are working on your case response".
I have a deadline, and I want to know if I can apply for a new visa while still having a current visa(that does not cover my period of stay).

Pls everyone I need help, if I want to use my partnership business as other source of income and as tie to my home country NOT FOR SPONSORING MY TRIP, what documents do I need to add with regards to my partnership business.
1. Pay slips from my partnership business and the registered business certificate with my name on it as part owner

2. Pay slips from my partnership business alone

And how how do I make the Eco knw that the partnership business is solely for other income and tie to my country and not using it to sponsor my trip.

I have another job and I intend using my salary account for that job to sponsor my trip. Note that my income from my partnership business also passes through that this same account

You can't ask such question if you have ever read this thread. We can't keep repeating the same thing again and again here.

This is not your fault and you have informed them about it, feel free to travel and complete your exams without applying for another visa.

Thank you.
If I travel and write the exam, I would have overstayed my visa. (Exam is Dec 7th, visa expires Nov 7th).
Won't this cause issues in the future? (when applying for another visa)?

That is a serious mistake by them, so if you don't travel before Wednesday the visa will expire even before you leave Nigeria?

I don't see that as a problem since you have contacted them and they haven't replied yet.

I wouldn't apply for another visa definitely if I were in your position

My initial post was a mistake; visa expires Nov 30, not 7th.
I just need clarification that staying on till the date of exam(Dec 7) won't raise later issues despite it being their fault.
thanks justwise for your patience replying my posts

Ok but still not a big deal to overstay for one week for a good reason.

Hopefully they will ratify it before then

Just wait for their response and if none comes through you can renew your visa while you are still there, visit the application page and read about conditions for renewal while in UK,do not forget to include all your correspondence with them when asking for renewal.
