It also produces dopaminogic response (Dopamine is a chemical component released by the brain which gives the body pleasure). The more the porn, the lower the activity for reward and this leads to a craving for feeling pleasurable. Watching of Pornography alters the brain size. The grey matter volume in the right caudate of the stratum (the reward part of the brain) is smaller in addicts. After excessive watching of Pornography, the stratum goes into less activity and shrink the putamen (part of the brain responsible for motivation and reward).
