Wow.

After 6 months Closing balance of less than 1m? This is just God's work.

What most of us here dont understand about acc statement is, its not the balance that really matters. if u have 20m as balance today and u submit ur app to cic today, cic cant get beyond the date on ur SOA. so invariably u can withdraw ur 20m a day after submission and no one wud know. what am trying to clarify is, your inflow and outflow is what matters, most times i see people denied on this thread, they av more than sufficient balance. am not surprised at all at d moniker who got approved with less than 1m balance, have seen and i know at least 3-4 applicants presently in canada with same scenario. 2 even happened to b this yr and they are both pgc applicants. all you need is put forward a convincing application and seek Gods grace. thats all. I wish all TRV hopefuls success in their applications.

You are absolutely correct. People keep making the assumptions that the closing balance is the main thing. In as much as I agree that it plays a significant role,it still will be dependent on your CASE. If you are a self sponsored applicant, your closing balance will be KEY while showing other means to sustain yourself throughout the duration of your program. The case is totally different for a sponsored applicant. Once your PURPOSE OF VISIT is Convincing, the next major thing is your finance. The reliability of your sponsorship and the consistency in income of sponsor is what plays out most times. If your sponsorship is questionable, they will scrutinise the availability of funds for you hence some cases where they call banks to verify account existence. This stuffs have been addressed severally on this thread. Please, let's look critically into our cases and make it a convincing one, let it reflect the sole purpose of your application, To STUDY! and I believe every other thing will fall in place with God's favour and grace.

I also notarized all my documents before scanning and uploading them. I think that's another factor people should look into.

BukiJaggz:
So I've been following this thread like forever, and I said I wasn't going to post any comment till I have good news. Someone introduced me to this page a little while after submitting my application (that was like part 10 or 9 sef, not so sure anymore.) just to read through and see how much patience I'll require. TBH, reading a lot of comments, I already have up sometimes that my application wasn't as solid as some people that have been denied. But I kept the faith. Let me cut the long story short sha. I got admission to Conestoga College (PGC, Computer Applications Security)

Visa application details;
Applied 19th May (Online route),
Biometrics 21st May.

Admission letter, with full first semester tuition paid.
Letter of Explanation
Sponsorship letter from my dad, with his official letter headed paper (Serving Commissioner in one of the states of Nigeria).
Statement of account( inflow: 12,153,796, outflow: 11,377,364, closing balance: 790,876).
Letter of introduction from his bank.
Police Certificate.
Data Page of international passport (No travel history). And all those IMM forms.

Medical call: 27th August.
Medical passed: 31st August.

Had to defer my admission, since I didn't hear anything from them again. Sent the new admission letter.

Finally, Passport Request: 31st October
Approval update/Correspondence letter: 5th November.

Will pick up my passport on Tuesday or Wednesday, and resign from my current job at the end of this month.

Total Duration: 24 weeks, 2 days.

All praise to God. I've not been calm since morning. Turn down for what? I wish all TRV hopefuls all the best.

Hi bro, I think its depends on Ur school, my school which is Thompson Rivers University made it clear to me that they only refund in CAD and USD . I went ahead asking them the specific account they want and they choose my Dom account which I have forwarded to them.

However, I still went ahead by calling my banks which is firstbank and Gtb, asking them how possible will that be for my school to pay back to my dom account and fortunately they confirmed that is very possible since they agreed to pay in to my dom account. You can still make inquiry from Banks though.

Thanks brother and yemdogg

What bank's card please? And what's the transaction limit?

Yelowfellow:
I just paid an application fee of 107CAD using my naira MasterCard and I was charged 26223 naira. So I guess @Rfactor is right.

Hi,
Does that mean 360 CAD = $100? GTB says their limit per month on Mastercard is $100. Please confirm this and the exchange rate too.

klawaaa:
many banks refused to sell due to the CBN condition (don't sell more than 5NGN above/below official rate). GTB only permit their Mastercard naira debit cards which you can have access to 360CAD max per month. 1CAD=244NGN

GTB has different threshold for different currency. It depend on the supply and demand. I CAD=244NGN; 1USD=321. Max for POS/Online Transaction is 100USD, 360CAD and 130EURO. It depend which you are doing. Regards,

Received. We can talk better. Agents charge as much as 350k but i don't think its worth going through all that when you can read and write. I have studied keenly too and realised there's no question dat won't have an answer on this thread.

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by executivegej: 3:47pm On Nov 07, 2016
It is more scary to claim you are leaving your wife and children for a long time. They are wiser and know the way of Nigerians- first the husband applies and later brings his family. So they tend to punish you by denying you even if they will give you later. Personal experience- research + sowp were approved for husband and wife in 8/9wks. I would not want to leave my spouse in Naija, it is a young marriage so I added a letter to explain why I want my spouse with me. No too much story. White man not vindictive as you think. You can include as many lettters as possible. Explain your own case. Never do copy and paste.

Always assume that VOs are wiser than you.

For home ties, use land documents and state you have family members in Naija- parents and siblings. Some use leave of absence letter too.

LMay:
Wow, wouldn't that look desperate? How then do you prove home ties to the VO?

No need to ask. Once you think it in your head, add it. It makes your claim stronger. What if you were the VO? Add anything you can add even NEPA bill,

It's better when you apply yourself. There is no fee apart from application fee which doesn't apply to all schools. All you need is stable Internet and seek knowledge. If you don't know a way, ask. He who asks for way would never miss his bearing. Send me an email.
