It is more scary to claim you are leaving your wife and children for a long time. They are wiser and know the way of Nigerians- first the husband applies and later brings his family. So they tend to punish you by denying you even if they will give you later. Personal experience- research + sowp were approved for husband and wife in 8/9wks. I would not want to leave my spouse in Naija, it is a young marriage so I added a letter to explain why I want my spouse with me. No too much story. White man not vindictive as you think. You can include as many lettters as possible. Explain your own case. Never do copy and paste.

Always assume that VOs are wiser than you.

For home ties, use land documents and state you have family members in Naija- parents and siblings. Some use leave of absence letter too.
Meanwhile... no 2 cases are always the same!
Because Mr. A applied with spouse and was approved does not in any way say Mr. B will be approved if applied with spouse.

Applicants are treated as individuals and with regards to your specific cases and information supplied.

In factuals .... most if not almost all of approvals we've recorded on this thread are without spouses... let me know if i am wrong pls.
Pls be free to make a choice of your considerations when you apply... either alone or with spouse....

Another point to note is that, a lot more pressure is put on your financial requirements when including spouse or children in your application!

I have been privileged to work in one or two embassies (africa) and i can say authoritatively that there are NO stronger ties than your spouse and children.

The advise to include your spouse SOWP in your application is however not a bad one IF you can defend it; while also noting that it is not compulsory as the writer only gave his view.
I share your view and respect this opinion as a guidance.
Regards.

GTB has different threshold for different currency. It depend on the supply and demand. I CAD=244NGN; 1USD=321. Max for POS/Online Transaction is 100USD, 360CAD and 130EURO. It depend which you are doing. Regards,
Wrong! It's 100usd or its equivalent. Shout out to one of our guys here that answered my call for help. I was able to pay 147cad with his help, after GTB decline the payment because it is more than transaction limit.

Thank God for everything and everyone. God bless us all.

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Nobody:
i am very happy this evening because i got my refund today after I expressed dismay to my school for holding my money for over 2months.

my excitement is that,i got a surplus balance of N700,000

Lemme similarly also correct this impression, you need not a domiciliary account before your refund in dollars will appreciate in Naira. The problem is from your own bank if your money doesn't appreciate with the current exchange rate. As i checked,my bank used OANDA CURRENCY CONVERTER RATE in making my conversion for the payment which i requested my school to pay me in USD and my bank paid me in Naira.

my account is a Naira account and current account to be precise.I got the above stated surplus from the N1.150million debited when i paid my fees.
like i said some banks are thieves and forex is a big business for them and i will point GTB as one which almost everyone on nairaland use.

finally as Accra VO refused me my merited visa,i can console myself with this while i am in pursuit of my other plans. success to everyone in this journey
