U r lucky, for some, it comes after they wean their baby. That is to tell you that body differs, so don't compare.

Also, one of the reason why some get pregnant few months after giving birth.

You might likely see it when u wean your baby.

Enjoy hubby while it last!!!

So I'm here to rant angry angry

Someone seems to be teething and won't eat, won't sleep. But that is not too bad, my issue is her Separation anxiety. It has gotten worse.

If Himself and I come home and she sees him, she starts crowing happily and waving until she sees me...and immediately bursts into tears and rushes me
Like "Where have you been, I needed you!". She follows me everywhere, I walk to the kitchen she comes, I immediately turn to the bedroom, she runs after. Everytime I go into the bathroom, she has to be held back and she starts crying. She won't eat or sleep unless she's lying down on top of me!! Once I come back, she races to meet me. I can only leave the house if I sneak out. She thinks I'm walking fast to avoid her so she started holding onto my clothes and I nearly trip over her daily because she is holding onto my clothes with both hands so she can follow me. I got so pissed day before yesterday that I stripped bare-arsed and walked off. Madam stared at me, perplexed for a few minutes. Then she ran at me and grabbed my bum so she could hold on.
So we are back to wearing clothes so she can hold that instead grin

I don't know what to do, it's really sad and exhausting. I don't think all babies are thia bad, do you?

Ma, seems we are not taking our Saturday prayer serious o.
My opinion is that you should be choosing 2 mamas and inform them by Thursday, with this, one of them will be able to prepare and lead it first thing on Saturday morning.

The prayer should be the first thing to drop here on Saturday morning.

Who knows, that prayer being said here might save someone on this forum that particular day.

@ sugah , insubordination ke?!! angry
Untop 40k salary again! In this recession!
Mehnn... Is there something keeping you from letting her go? And hubby is supporting her insubordination too. Maybe cos he doesn't wanna lose face in front of her father cos he sourced her. Just assuming.

Personally, I can't stand a nanny or maid trying to be a madam too in my own house. Cos with time, they will take you for a fool and do worse things. I don't need a subservient person who pretends o but I also don't need someone who questions my authority in my house or feels she is a little boss too.

Pls let her go back to her former Oyibo bosses. Let her see if it's that easy. Many humble ppl are looking for jobs now. Don't let any employee hold u to ransom. Like without them, you can't function. You won't like the end results.
...
I am speaking hypothetically o cos I don't have a nanny or maid.

Nne, you never see mine cause my 2nd and 3rd kids where case study then..... They were exactly behaving like yours even more self.... What I did was that anytime I feel like leaving the house I gave them my clothe(wrapper) and I tell them to wait lemme get some ice cream or bla bla for them... With time they will outgrow it.

Yes! Fear of the unknown.
The baba that brought her has been cleaning my neighbours house for about 15years and is very trusted. They leave the key with him and he cleans their house when they are at work. And I left my house for him on some occasions and nothing went missing.

So bringing a random person from an agent is scary to both of us.
With help of the mamas that contributed, we have been able to hash out some rules for her and the plan is to watch her for the deal breakers.
God help us mothers...I have contemplated resigning my job to be a stay at home mom but this recession no help matters. Coupled with the fact that I've been working since I was 16, I might go crazy not working grin

I saw a video of one evil boy beating up kids at a daycare
https://m.youtube.com/watch and I decided my child isn't going to school until he starts talking grin...even though that might have been an isolated event.

Thanks to those that contributed and I wouldn't mind more inputs from mamas that have nanny's/paid helps.

How's your baby's skin? Have you tried baby tribotan? You should also consider rinsing her clothes with a solution of dettol and water after each wash.

All these talk on nannies and all their wahala/drama, why aren't mothers considering good crèches/daycares/nurseries ? undecided

I'm so not in favour of leaving my child alone with any nanny.

My son goes to a nursery (expensive sha but worth it). Staff ratio is 3 kids to 1 adult. Maximum number of kids in the room is 9. Kids are grouped in each room based on their age so you do not have for example a 3 year old is the same room meant for a baby or 2 year old. Breakfast, snacks, fruit, cow milk and lunch are provided and all I have to bring in is one meal a day. Nappies and wipes are also provided.

If I was in Lagos or any part of nigeria, I would definitely consider a crèche and if I need help with housework, I would rather have someone come on a Saturday or Sunday, do whatever chores and leave the same day.

Has the cord fallen off and as the navel healed/dried?

When you touch it, how does your baby react? Anything to suggest she's in any pain or discomfort? She is due for the routine 6 weeks check, so book an appointment with your doctor and express your concerns.

UmmTwin2 baby Sophie is fine.

Sugah you can watch her for some time and decide if you can deal with her excesses or not. For the fact that baba is good and trusted doesn't even mean his own daughter will be good too. Pls feel free to show her the exit door if she's not doing well.
Ontop 40k, I expect quite much from her, many graduates are earning 40k and working their ass off. Na just small family and one kid that she's watching , what if the kids come reach 3?

Yes cord fell off 8 days after, I think it has healed outwardly. She doesn't reach to suggest she's in pain or anything. When she's not active the navel looks collapsed in a way. Could it be gas??

I think there's nothing to worry about. At this stage, her body is growing/changing.

I think you are worried she won't end up with a big navel. I also had such naive fears grin and I kept on telling my mum that my son's navel must be flat oh grin She would just laugh at me and the only thing she did was "press" his naval during bath time using a towel soaked with warm water. I'm not sure if that made any difference to the size of his navel (I doubt though).

My exact thoughts.

She also mentioned she has sore nipplesss. I can only imagine the pain from applying aboniki on cracked nipplesss.

The stretch of aboniki nko? lipsrsealed lipsrsealed it's definitely not something I would want to smell of or have my child inhale - except she's not going to carry her baby or be in the same room with her child.

Then again, tying the breastttt so tightly with wrapper lipsrsealed won't that hurt ?
