Very possible. That it is only 25% chance for each baby does not mean that it cannot happen each time.

Same way all the babies could have been born without full sickle cell. It is lottery of nature.

But you'd expect the daughter of an ex-HoS to be educated/enlightened enough about genotype before marriage. But alas!

Four kids with sickle cell is not a joke. Parents struggle with even just one sickle cell child. Those crisis, hospital, seeing the kids suffer must take its toll on a marriage.

Sickle cell gene leads to sickle anaemia. Sickle cell is hereditary whereby the red blood cells take the shape of a sickle.
