Fashola Raji Mr. "That is the law" now no longer understands the Law of Contract. The other party isnt fulfilling its obligations. Cancel the damn contracts shikena. Bunch of hypocrites. You were crying "that is d law" upandan for Lagos State. Showing Lagosians pepper while u were Governor. Now because govt is making huge gains u hv all of a sudden forgotten the law. Block head Fashola.

I think his request for govt to revisit the privatization of the power sector is not even for govt ownership, but for him to get a chunky bite of the cookie
I think so too.

Jonathan Is the cause of it, he sold it to his friends, Ayeni and co,same dude that donated 2billion naira for his campaign, that said, ikeja disco billed me 14500 and 16k for the month of August and September respectively, meanwhile our transformer was faulty for the two months, how do you explain that, they were unaware, meter is there, and they still do estimated billing, is it rocket science to install meters? Why can't they take the meter readings like they use to do in the days of old NEPA? when u bring d bill for last month the marketer will take the reading and calculate your Bill for the day as against the last day of reading, thats not hard to do.
NERC and Fashola are failing on this one, this diacos are robbing Nigerians blind, how can I be paying such amount for darkness, even if there is 24 power, my bill cannot be up to 8k per month.
Ikeja disco is the no 1 culprit, big thieves, this does not happen anywhere in the world,
Fashola should resign if he cannot turn things around, to be a minister of power is not by force,
Btw am a fan of his but I don't think he is capable in that position, am a lere boy just like him, hang out in Itolo too if you know what i mean.

I am not understanding this Dangote sef.

Only you want government to sell NLNG but you want them to stop privatization in power.

Sometimes, when this guy talks (with all due respect for his business acumen), I begin to question his nationality.

NLNG that's been properly managed should stay under the government. Power where Nigeria before privatization had spent more than $35b to generate less than 3000MW should go to private hands. The power sector is like the refineries. If we hadn't privatized, we'd have continued dumping money to unseen cabals without noticeable improvements.
I thought I was the only person that is not understanding the man when I first had the news , all this is for the simple reason that he didn't get a chance to buy the whole NEPA. Cope alone

It is better to be left privatised for the following reasons
1. Discos are now more efficient than the defunct NEPA
2. No more political interference.
3. Government are raising more revenue than before.
4. More jobs have been created.
funny guys, whatever the government says they agree. Even if the government had said they will reverse the sale, you will still support. Lol

They will not reverse it bcus of the big Oga's that bought it including Uncle Jo..
The Fed.govt. profit more now than when they are controlling the disco's.,remember that they pay their salaries from the federation account but
reversing it will favor the common man or the masses.(An adage says that when u marry two wives u then know which is better). The common man has known that old Nepa is better than this private one reasons.:
1.Electricity bill will be minimal than what we are paying now.
2.The guys during the old Nepa were more considerate than this presents ones working with the private sector.
Everyone thought that wt the privatization that we will start to enjoy longer period of power supply but we are faced with even severe epileptic disease power of the old Nepa.
Going back to the status quo is better for the masses, my thought o!.

I quite agree the reversal is impossible, but we need competition in this sector,we can't pretend all his well.Give new investor entry into the sector and others would seat up.When it was only mtn we brought sim card for 15000Naira now it is only the Disco we are paying for 10% light 90% darkness

We are not calling for reversal of the F.G privatization, which look like sharing of the national cake to different group to satisfy every tribe the reality is that Nigeria can't wait for those money miss road who invested in the sector without any knowledge of the power sector any longer who have become a Leach sucking Nigerian dry .We have a crisis in our hand of over 70million Nigerian youth who need power to grow there enterprise, no one is asking for reversal, we just want new entry.Mtn was charging 15000 for sim when they where the only one ,today we pay for more darkness than light.I know there is more we can do if we open the sector up.

The Disco's are gradually getting it right, rate of crazy billing has reduced, they now have meter installed in each transformer so they will be able to aggregate power consumption in an area around which they'll be billed.
They now respond faster in fixing faulty equipment. Remnant of NEPA and PHCN staff are the one corrupting the system. I'm talking about IKEJA disco.
