Gullible Nigerians. Leave Amaechi alone. Go and build the Maritime University let me see. Second reading means nothing. The hatred for Amaechi is becoming childish. |

What difference does it make if our bloody senate snubs amaechi. In the real world d mumu amaechi has nothing to lose Anyways, A well set up university is labor intensive in addition to providing educational opportunities for people in the region. It will attract a body of students, academics and support staff and services. They will need housing, furniture, transportation and food. The providers of those goods and services will come from the local community which will provide them gainful employment to provide for their families. The state and local govt. will boost their tax base as a result. The products of the university will hopefully set up maritime trades and industries in the region. There are unpolluted beaches in Akwa Ibom that can sustain hotel and tourist resorts. Set up air and road transportation, and visitors can go from there to the Obudu Highlands in nearby Cross Rivers. So we can drive regional integration from projects like this. All that is possible when people of vision, not shortsighted crooks in politics, are chosen to lead our people. 1 Like |

A cheering news I must say. At least Amaechi's frivolous reasons have not only been rejected but also thrown into the repository. Congrats to Niger Deltans 1 Like |

kawkab:on point, what ameachi has done, is like an adage in my place that says "you can't pluck out your eyes because you don't want to see your enemy", his people's interest should come first, he should remember he won't be there forever |

OZAOEKPE: Ameachi had no right to try block the maritime institute the way he did, it had become malicious But 13 billion is too much for land. |

Amaechi is right! Maritime academy in oron is just a laughable project, you want to build a university to add to it.. ok. Continue. 16billion should be used for smth more tangible |
Re: Senate Passes Maritime University bill by Heffalump(m): 8:42pm On Nov 16, 2016 |
I will not totally disagree with Amaechi. How can you site a university and 13 Billion naira is for the cost of land alone? That itself is a fraud! Is the 13B. for sand filling, landscaping, and building of structures? No! Who is fooling who. Mr. Amaechi's opinion should not be wished away. Shine your eyes. |

OZAOEKPE: No sane mind trusts a traitor. If he betrays a man to you, he will surely betray you to another. All he needs is the perfect time. That's why traitors are relieved of their tongue in the olden days and I will advice not just tongue alone in these times but hands as well because they can equally betray with hands these days since they can write. |

You can see how they are bombing pipelines then you can Imagine what will happen to students in such a school located in ijaw land ; Kidnapping Arson Murder Rape Armed robbery Bombing Mugging Please add yours!!! This crimes and more will occur unabated. The school should be scrapped or located in an itsekiri or isoko or urobo land. Jonathan was a disaster and a disgrace to the office of a president, all is decision lack foresight. |
