I'm so grateful to GOD and this forum for all the information I gathered during my visa application. My visa was granted today, Special thanks to Justwise and whytegirl for your time and contributions.

01-11-2016: Submitted Documents
02-11-2016: Application Received at UKVI
15-11-2016: Passport Ready for Pickup

To future applicant; you can do it yourself, you don't need any agent, make your intentions clear, be sincere to yourself, over explanation is allowed, DO NOT LIE and finally PRAY...

@Justwise and other gurus in the house please help me out I am self employed I run my own business with my own savings and current account so my account statement won't reflect monthly salary even though my accounts are in very good shape my problem is I need to know what documents and letters I need to write to aid my application apart from letter of invitation and bank statements because I feel in my case writing a letter of employment, confirmation of employment, authorisation for leave etc won't work since I'm self employed I'm a panel beater and I also export spare parts to east Africa on a medium scale how do I address and phrase the letters? Because the information listed on the UK visa website does not include people like me please help me out your advice will be gratefully appreciated

I really can't keep repeating myself after every few pages.

We have answered this sort of question few pages back. If you read few pages back you will come across answers to your question

Actually that is not bad for few days trip. How was your budget? Above N400k for the trip?

Budget was 900k for accommodation, flight and feeding for a 3week stay. Cos I need to do some prep before the exam. The exam is a practical one.

I am a nervous nelly by nature so please forgive me.

I submitted by visa application on 2/11/16 and no decision has been made yet. Should I be worried cause I see quite a few on here who submitted a day before me and have already picked up their passport.

What you must show is proof that you will return after your visit.
Job ties, family, property.
Spending all your savings on one trip is a red flag.

Won't bother to type this again sha but the way out is to use a dollar card.

How to get a dollar card? Open a domiciliary account, fund it, request for a credit card and you are good to go.

That figure is high considering the fact that you earn 140 a month. that is more than 7months of your salary gone in 3wks.

Will you be able to do the prep elsewhere then the main exam in the UK?

@justwise and other gurus please i need ur help.
A friend and her mum were denied uk visa.
For her she was denied purely from her previous refused visa wasnt explained nd presently she owns a company she is operating still dey werent satisfied. Then for her mum their reason was that they couldnt get the relationship between her nd her daughter nd she didnt submit ties which she did.he also made some mistakes staingb that she nd her mum intends staying for two weeks whereas they intended staying for three weeks which was stated on the form,nd for her mum she submitted doc but he still insisted that he didnt see any documents.at the end there is no right of appeal or right to administrative review.please we need ur advice asap.thanks
