@OP. Regarding the Cons stated for Owerri. What is the effect of indecency and 'women of easy virtue' on property value? We are not talking of Vatican City or Mecca here now? |

Good morning Nairalanders. Consider this post seriously, don't invest anywhere. Don't invest in property cause you've got free land. Listen, cost of building anywhere in Nigeria is the same. I have told my clients, the best you can do is to invest in the right place. Engr Daniel(07037629947) Is a structural/building engineer. |

YourNemesis:From experience its only Lagos and Abuja anybody who has ever made profit from building and selling houses in Ibadan or other places should come out The only way to make profit from any of other states is to sell the house before you roof it |

YourNemesis:The problem with you Afonjas is you think everything is dickk measuring with Igbos. Enugu is even more expensive than Port Harcourt and should be number 3. Awka and Onitsha has more real estate value than Ibadan. Ibadan should not even be in top 20 lucrative real estate cities. |

Olu20090:https://www.computerhope.com/jargon/l/lol.jpg The problem with you F.L.A.T.T.I.E.S is that y'all think Yorubas care if you exist. I made a more accurate list, and this monkey is talking about how igbos rank beside Yorubas. |

danemenike:Funny you. So if one can only afford a land in Mowe for N500,000 today, he should be patient and wait till he can afford a land of N13.5m in Lakowe area of Ibeju-Lekki before he invests by then the said plot would be nothing less N30m. This are the type of advice that made men or 60, 70 and 80s work all their lives without a single plot of land in their name. I get your point but for a starter, your advise is as good as USELESS. |

O.p, no Ogun state with all its teeming institutions, industries, religious houses and the fact that Ogun is becoming the next Lagos? investment in Ogun now ehn, especially Lagos Ibadan axis and Ota in the next 5 years would give you over 300% ROI |

Olu20090:I don't know about Ibadan, but Enugu, Awka, and Onitsha have real estate value, no doubt. I have seen it myself. But I think it's down to values. The cost of land is prohibitive to the poor in these areas. Lands are cheaper in places like Ibadan due to availability. So, people will rather they build one themselves than be subjects to some landlord. Those in the east has no such luxury, hence, the higher returns. |

Very very Dumb. I doubt if u travel at all? You also try 2 bring tribalism into things another terrible and dumb move. What is afonja by the way. Do you read history at all? You lack so much in knowledge. You should at least try to read to make up for the shortfall. I wonder if people from the east still thinks as you do. You must be an aberration. Olu20090: |

bettercreature:I have a relative who made good money from real estate business in Benin. Even before Abuja was built & still does today. Chose location well & build quality. You will sell at a decent profit. He joined Abuja property rush in the 1980s already & Lagos market but never left Benin to do business fully in those places. Benin receives one of the highest amount of money from Diaspora outside Lagos-Ibadan axis and a few other places. And most of it goes into real estate. |

WARRI; This city is famous for producing a lot of comedians and musicians in Nigeria. It also prides itself as the unofficial capital of oil rich Delta state. There are lots of expatriates and Nigerians working in the oil industry in this town. It also has a refinery and oil servicing firms, by virtue of these and others, decent accommodation is in high demand and people are willing to pay premium rates.
