He did make things difficult. And found out after he left the other sets did excellently.

This is not true. This is against Uniben rules and regulations. You will notice I teach in that department. However, this may happen without the department knowledge but we make every effort to forestall it. Once you are graded, that is it.

After all said and done, my prayer for them is that they actually get to practise as engineers. A first class degree is something to be proud of but mehn , first class don dey full streets abeg. There are more first class engineers in kpmg and PWC than accountants .

They are employed because they get the job done. First degree can actually go on to do anything. It is not out of order. The best banks in England while I was there once asked for oxbridge graduates no matter what you study. Oxbrige refers to Oxford and Cambridge University graduates.

Engineers are good with quanitative activities. That is exactly what professional banking, tax advisory, accounting firms need to succeed.

I understand your point and also aware of what you've stated. But no engineering graduate puts in the effort for 5 year to graduate with a first class degree with dreams of working in financial services. So in as much as their skills are relevant in various sectors, that isn't what they spent 5 yrs of study preparing for.
