Please. They are insignificantly small, compared to all the christian soldiers that did most of the dirty work with help from churches. They were the ones who shot the Jews after forcing them to dig there graves, the ones who controlled the slave factories, and who carried out the extermination.
If the German citizenry which were mostly christians had stood up against Hitler and his goons, he would be completely and utterly powerless. But hate blinded them largely due to religion.

If you would take out time to research you would discover that one of the ways you can survive in the german army was to denounce religion. All religious people were registered and taxed heavily so as to kill them off but when that did not work he declared that all gatherings by religious people were an affront to the state as he "Hitler" was the sole authority so if you insisted on remaining openly religious you would be killed. He knew the Jews would not accept this as they are a proud people...need i say more why he targeted the Jews?

Almost every atheist is gnostic, even Richard Dawkins doesn't argue against a deist God as there is no need. Even he doesn't see a deist God as impossible, but he firmly as do all atheist reject all religious Gods.
Agnostism is almost the same as atheism. But I chose atheism because of the society we live in, my Agnostic stance may be mistaken for slight belief in their fairy tale Gods. Hence I use the term atheist.
I believe in no religious God, but might be willing to accept a deist God.

Jonbellion is by any indication an atheist, he simply goes under the agnostic title to not claim omniscience, since he would have to know a lot to claim all Gods(including the deist one) do not exist, he does not believe in any religious God but might believe in the deist one as would I.

Honestly do you know what surveys and polls are ? Only an insignificant population of the nation are questioned on religiousity . Example if I should go to the northern part of Nigeria and ask 1000 people about religion , the results will be reported this way

over 95 percent of Nigerians say allah is god
5 percent of Nigerians say Yahweh is God

In the US , the Southern part of the Country are very very religious , more religious than the Northern part . If a survey is done in just a state in a Northern part of the country on religion , the figures will not exactly show how religious the nation is.

So these polls are not reliable

Official statics of religion in Sweden say that 6.3 million Swedes are members of the church out of 10 million while there 3,500 churches in Sweden .

And even if we go with the polls , the people who believe in the supernatural are way higher than the ones who don't , so what's your point ?

And North Korea shouldn't be used as a poster child for an atheist country. North Korea is practicing another form of religion like you rightly pointed, where they worship their supreme leader. This isn't atheism. North Korea didn't become non-religious by critically examining their religious beliefs, it was forced on them. And the North Korean president isn't doing all he is doing on the basis of his atheism, he doing it for political reasons.
