I feel sorry for the pastor he should pay them up and sue the other family for a refund. .. This sort of behavior makes people generally sceptical of buying land in this country.

considering what he has established I feel he should pay while the original owners are open to that option. if they decide otherwise....
I hate commenting on nairaland but I will advice you to know the dept of this matter before you conclude that someone is dupe or not,you should never ever be at the back of omo onile,never because one day,you could also fall a victim of their greediness.

The land in dispute is not the whole Prayer city, its a portion of it. And what's the guarantee this new faced family are not conniving with the original owners to try to extort more money from the Church, The church has to be careful, carry out its own investigations before paying a kobo to any body.

Church business, eh tongue very enticing... Every day, we hear people say MMM is robbing Peter to pay Paul. I heard James Ibori very clearly in UNIBEN during the Founder's Day lecture build up to his arrest where he said "In politics we rob Peter to pay Paul". Now, look at our churches. Members are committed to make contributions to buy very very vast expanse of lands and also sweated to build huge structures and schools far away from the reach of the common man. Later on, the echelon or top hierarchy turn around to start selling plots to the choice few in Redemption Way, Kingdom Central, Jesus Avenue and so on. What a cool business.... It's our work o, soft work.

All he needs do is to seek for lawyers whose real callings is land law. They should educate him on the possible outcome of an appalled rulling if the case gets to that while he sponsors the other family legal fees before negotiatingb with them. On the other side the land owners and grabbers are very much in the habit of selling other people's land after life treats.

As a member since 1999, I know the church already has the C of O. The issue now is a moral issue of paying the real owners of the land but court rulings can be bought and sold. The issue is however a moral one they seem to want to "black-mail" the pastor. If it was not for relogious purpose this people have no say as the C. Of O has already been issued.



For those saying why did God not tell him? Listen to yourself....Even if u are an atheist u must realise that u can't be great without battles to fight....if u are a christian, e mean say u no seat down for Sunday school wen dem they teach how Joshua possessed the promised land...lol.

Hmm this omonile issue is getting out of hand. I was just duped recently in trying to get a plot of land from them only to realised that i just paid to a wrong person. Uptil now am thinking the next line of action to take.

Just like what happen to pastor olukoya, i was just imaging i managed to fall into the hands of this rogues.

This story is incomplete, because we haven't heard from the oda family, if they will appeal or not. Some family are opurtunist, by now, they may decides not to appeal if they know they will loose. And litigation is money and time consuming
