OBJ was never called names, U.M Yar'duar was never called names. But it got GEJ and he was labeled they ineffectual buffoon, clueless president by the self acclaim sophisticated political region and tribe. While lebaling southeast (Igbo) as the people responsible for his dismay. So you expect peace to rain and everybody move on, you're on a lone thing. |

The truth of the matter is that tribalism is here to stay. Nothing can be done about it. |

Pre and Post Election did not bring any bitterness but the president attitude after swearing in.. The arrest of Nnamdi Kanu and the massacare of Biafran protest that ensued is the main reason from the Igbo side. Then The statement of your president of 97% and 5% is why Niger delta from South are bitter ..Then recession brought about political bitterness from every side. So get your fact right. Tommorow u will still ask why are Shia muslim bitter about this goverment.. |

| Re: Politics Of Bitterness And Tribal Hatred In Nig. How Come? by Pavarottii(m): 3:52pm On Nov 25, 2016 |
My brother, d real hatred and tribal war came cos someone from the so called minority SS/SE became president; and the majority can't watch the minority rule dem(claiming superiority) and since someone from d minority has become president, the eyes of the minorities are now opened. And unfortunately, the tribal hatred has come to stay and will continue and d country will eventually divide one day whether it takes 10, 20 or 50 years. |

GEJ brought the politics of hate. he thought he could use it to win elections being a minority that he was with no assurance of retaining that seat sadly it is here to stay, people will now vote along tribal lines all thanks to him |

Pavarottii:Keep deluding yaself! No be Oga Jona dey on seat when Ibos were calling Yoruba Amala people yet the clueless man was laughing and had no problem with the tribal word, considering he was the president of a nation comprises of several tribes? BTW, tribalism has come to stay, no more pandering to self entitled victim card playing people! |

They're immature people simply put. Alother of Nigerian are identiarians that see world only in terms of biological, ethnic, religious and geographicall parameters. Instead of focusing on principles, ideals and shared grievences. They ask is he an igbo, fulani hausa, north, south etc. Nobody cares to hear the arguements before losing head over petty non issues. Most Nigerians arent tribalist in this day and age. They generally live and get along. If theres befits not because of what identity group your in. It's the actions that from percieved wrong. There's your answer. |

Kagawa10:U r d one deluding urself, we av had past head of states from the north and the west; but never threw tantrums at any of them the way GEJ was thrown tantrums from d west and north; do u know they stoned him pure water and stones during his campaign. Did u see wat the west did to him in occupy Nigeria. Even after the civil war; the Igbos av lived freely with everyone in the 6 geopolitical zones in d country. Just imagine it was the west that suffered a civil war; do u think they will still move freely with their oppressors like d Igbos. My brother we know the real tribalists. And as I said earlier; it has come to stay; and will eventually divide one day. FYI - am not from the SE. |

Pavarottii:Contradictory statement in one post! You can keep deluding yourself. Lmao! Anyway, the clueless Jona brought in the tribal of hate and was burnt by it! Jona kept saying the SE were the backbone of his government and that the SW were useless to him. Not to mention how he was laughing at Ibo calling Yoruba Amala people! BTW, Ibos have always been tribal since way back, talk about Zik and Ahmadu Bello, Ekueweme and Shagari or the malign they had for Abiola etc. We're only learning from the Ibos! |

The bitterness is because some people whose candidate lost the 2015 election have deliberately refused to move on despite the fact that even the man that lost has moved on. Some other person saw their defeat in 2015 as ethnic conquest while winners saw it as ethnic triumph. Anyway, the bigots are not politicians, the political class doesn't think their way. |

SAHACO:There has always been tribalism in Nigeria only that 2015 blew it to another level Maybe you were too young in the days of OBJ and YarAdua who was called Yar'Adull and Baba go slow by the media Its just that the same treatment that was given to other presidents when it got to the turns of Jonathan, his supporters took it personal The same people who joined everyone to call OBJ and YarAdua names insist no one must criticize GEJ because he is their son |

Pavarottii:Was it not during Yar Adua time that Save Nigeria Group marched on Abuja to demand that the same Jonathan be made president? Was it not during OBJ time that the same group marched against his 3rd term agenda all over the country But when the ineffectual Buffon got there, it became do not touch our son, We all irrespective of regions abused OBJ and YarAdua together. One of the biggest critics of OBJ were Yoruba people from Gani to Falana to Soyinka, Some of the Northerners even gathered to chase out the cabal during YarAdua But the moment it came to Jonathan his supporters who had joined to criticize previous regimes before declared that no one should ever question of crticize their son |

The media is the problem, people read too much tribal comments on the social media all thanks to the APC govt that spreads propaganda throughout the campaign period. Unlike the 2011 and the previous elections there are so many kids on social media network since after the election of 2015 |
