You are a _dunce! So it is buhari that told the director of the ncc how to do his job? If the ncc director approaches the presidency with a proposal to increase revenues through this tariff, who made the decision? Buhari or the director?



The president only has to assent based on the advice given! Now do you know that the owners of the phone companies as well as the director of the organization stand to also benefit if they can convince the president to do that? Meanwhile who is heading the administration's economic team of which the ncc falls under? Buhari or osibanjo?

In such a time like this, this news is not good enough for now because the nation is already experiencing recession, implementing this directive will only make life harder for Nigerians. NCC has mandated all GSM Companies to raise data rates beginning from December 1st 2016.




This is sad, NCC believes that this is one of the ways they can generate revenues for the Government. They know that we can’t do without buying data… so they decided to mandate all Telcos to increase their data price… hmm!

Nigerian Government through its agencies should not make life harder for Nigerians! Don’t be surprise that beginning from December 1st 2016, N1000 will only get you 500MB of data. The data you normally get 3GB for N1000 before will be history.

Inshort, all MtN users should call 181 self-help service number to listen to this announcement which will take effect from 1st of December.

Its true but not as this Buhari hating OP described it. The increase is to prevent big data operators in the likes of Globacom and MTN from kicking the smaller one out of business.
The way Globacom is dropping it like a bomb every month Etisalat self fit run out of business in no time so in the spirit of moderator (NCC) and not to allow monopoly, data price need to be reviewed to prevent unwarrantted demise of those company which will Leads to massive lost of jobs.

Globacom has the facilities to even give out data as low as N100 for 1G for the next 6 months by then Etisalat would have ran out of business completely, deliberately killing them to be more dominant in the market. No sane government watch and let that happen.
