Okay the AK's with black polymer butt on page 199.

Now the AK versions the NA and other military arm fields, fires the; 7.62×51mm produced by DICON.

Now the beryl rifle versions fielded by the AFSF and the AK74M fires or is chambered for the new 5.45×39mm rounds. Like the one @M14A1
Posted, which we import till today.

Before the advent of the beryl riffle av seeing few NA soldiers with AK-103 or 104 and even the AK74/74M which are very difficult to differentiate.
Bless you kindly smiley

PRESS RELEASE:
MEDIA REPORT ON CRASH OF NIGERIAN AIR FORCE AGUSTA WESTLAND HELICOPTER

The attention of the Nigerian Air Force has been drawn to media report on the crash of one of the Agusta Westland 101 helicopters handed over recently by the Presidency. Contrary to the crash report, it is pertinent to state that the mishap occurred while the helicopter was taxing after a successful mission. The incident happened last week on the tarmac at 33 Logistics Group, Makurdi.

The NAF has since set-up a board of officers to investigate the immediate and remote causes of the incident. The 7-man board is headed by Air Vice Marshal Emmanuel Anebi. Details of the investigation would be communicated to the public as soon as the Board concludes its assignment.

NAVY RAIDS ILLEGAL REFINING SITES IN THE NIGER DELTA

In continuation of the anti-crude oil theft operations of the Nigerian Navy in the Niger Delta, patrol teams deployed by the Service have raided and destroyed more illegal bunkering and refinery sites. This is even as the Nigerian Navy has intensified patrol of the maritime areas of the country in order to deter any form of security beaches and threats.

On 16 November 2016, the patrol team deployed by Forward Operating Base (FOB) Formoso in Bayelsa State arrested MV MIDES 2 and 2 other Cotonou boats for alleged illegal bunkering activities at Sonikiri Community in Nembe LGA of Bayelsa State. MV MIDES 2 was while arrested carrying out transfer of suspected illegally refined AGO to the Cotonou boats.

In another raid, on 18 November 2016, the patrol team deployed by NNS PATHFINDER in Rivers State destroyed an illegal refinery site containing about 70,000 litres of stolen crude oil and 40,000 litres of illegally refined AGO at Bille Creek in Rivers State.

Similarly the patrol team deployed by NNS DELTA arrested 4 persons onboard a Cotonou boat laden with suspected stolen crude oil on the Forcados River. This feat is in addition to an earlier raids conducted by the operatives in which a Cotonou boat laden with about 15 metric tones (MT) of product suspected to be crude oil was destroyed at Benneth Island in Delta State.

The Nigerian Navy patrol team deployed from Forward Operating Base (FOB) ESCARVOS under Ops DELTA SAFE on 23 November 2016 also carried out extensive patrol of the area of responsibility. During the patrol, the team discovered and dismantled a newly erected illegal refinery Camp at Tipo Village near Abiteye Community in Delta State. The patrol team also destroyed 2 large Cotonou boats laden with various quantities of product suspected to be stolen crude oil siphoned from sources within the village. Further searches revealed that the criminals stashed about 100 Jerry cans of products suspected to be illegally refined AGO on an adjacent Creek in a bid to conceal them from military operatives.

In a related development, the naval patrol team deployed from NNS PATHFINDER under Ops DELTA SAFE on 23 November 2016 discovered and destroyed a large wooden boat at Wakama, close to Onne axis. The boat contained about 500 litres of suspected illegally refined AGO.

NAF DEPLOYS ADDITIONAL PLATFORMS TO NORTH WEST

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has deployed additional platforms to the North West to reinforce the on-going operation against cattle rustling, armed banditry and kidnapping. The new deployments, comprising fixed and rotary wing aircraft, complement those deployed earlier for the operation. The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Mshl Sadique Abubakar yesterday made an operational visit to 119 Forward Operations Base (FOB), Sokoto to access the deployment. The visit also availed the CAS the opportunity to undertake a facility tour of the Unit as well as paid a courtesy call on His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alh (Dr) Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar (III) in his palace.

Addressing the press at the end of the visit, Air Mshl Abubakar stated that the additional deployment was based on the analysis of threat in the region; given that cattle rustling currently pose a serious security challenge in Zamfara State hence the need to take drastic steps to curb the situation. To tackle the problem, the CAS stated that the NAF will continue to work in synergy with other security agencies in order to achieve the desired end state. Air Mshl Abubakar further hinted on the plan underway to: restructure 119 FOB Sokoto, reactivate existing infrastructure and build new ones, deploy additional Regiment personnel to enhance the operational capability of the Unit and its participation in Internal Security Operations within the area.

No offence bidexi, but you're wrong.

Here is an article from Janes defence.com

From Jane’s-

“Polish small arms manufacturer Broni has delivered a
second batch of 500 Beryl M762 assault rifles to Nigeria under a
USD500,000 contract signed early this year, company sources
have told IHS Jane’s .

The first batch of 1,000 Beryl M762s, spare parts, and training
was delivered to Nigeria under a USD1 million contract signed in
mid-2014.

This was the first ever export order for any Beryl rifle, including the M762, a 7.62×39 mm version of the Polish Army’s 5.56×45 mm Beryl M556 (wz. 96C) service rifle."

As you can see, Nigerian troops have never used the 5.45 mm round.

All our troops regular infantry and AFSF use the 7.62x 39mm

All our regular commandos use the 5.56 standard NATO round.

No Nigerian unit fields the 5.45 standard Russian army round.

That's why i'm saying based on the "open source" information which is readily available, unless there is a verifiable source to the contrary, the rifles those navy guys are carrying is an AK-103 not an AK-74.

The rifles you shared are chambered to use the 7.62x39mm which is the round we have always used. Which also the Janes defence article verifies.

At the end of the day, it is a good thing that infantry weapons of our soldiers are improving.

These link was for the first batch of beryl riffle delivered which included both rounds ammo.

Nigeria Receives A Batch Of Polish Beryl Rifles

Fabryka Broni Łucznik-Radom [Łucznik Radom Arms Factory] supplied 510 examples of Beryl and Mini-Beryl carbines for the Nigerian Army. The weapons were delivered in two variants, using 7.62x39 mm (Beryl) and 5.56x45 mm (Mini-Beryl) ammunition.

now a 1000 deal followed after the initial deal. And the possiblity of another 5000 deal followed due to the need in N.E theatre which where the ones used by the AFSF today. And these versions you are chambered for new NATO standard -
5.45×39mm

now take a very good look of those riffles they are not ak74/74m or 103/104 either.
