Please can someone explain why it takes like forever for Nigerian schools to release their admission list?

What is the science behind this? why not release it once and for all? I know of some schools that usually release second list after about two months when the first was released... Why is it so?

Because we are yet to have a fully automated system in our institutions across the nation. Everything is still being done manually, so imagine moving lists from one office to the other, and maybe occasionally hearing that so or so person has travelled and so everything is put on hold until he returns, since nothing can be done without his signature...

Sometimes it's not padding as many are already alluding to. Sometimes it's just our idiosyncrasy of bottlenecking every thing or making life difficult for ourselves.
For example, after departmental meeting, there is faculty meeting then collegiate meeting then Senate meeting, then VC has to sign all of these could be weeks apart. And in the case of well regulated professional courses, regulating bodies have to approve of the results or sometimes, results have to be reviewed downwards to comply with pass quota as stipulated by regulating bodies.
True that the longer it takes before results are officially published, the more allowance is given for unwholesome practices. It all boils down to one word : corruption

UNIUYO is yet to release supplementary lists after collecting 2500# from us 4 more than 2 months now.

Students go to the UK for MSc, complete their studies, receive their results and do convocation under a year. Here in naija 18 months MSc is automatically 3 years... 1yr to 18 months to complete course work, 6 months to a year to finish your project work get your supervisor to sit down and PG school to arrange final defense, 6months to a year for results to be released and approved. Convocation holds 1-3 years later. Nonsense! We are sick and tired our Nigeria's education system.

Especially uniport...... Candidates have been expecting d second list for a long time
