These are the two points I was hoping to make in few words with my previous post:
1. Burning a flag is indeed protected under the first amendment, but one can get charged with a misdemeanor for starting a fire without permit. Doesn't matter if the fire is raging over a flag, get it?
This is a technicality and the perpetrator can get away with just a fine. WELCOME TO THE AMERICAN JUSTICE SYSTEM, I bet you know a lot about technicalities yea.

2. The supreme Court has been trying to overturn that first amendment ruling for a long time now and they have been unsuccessful. Between 1990 and now there have been Republican and Democrat majority in at least one of two houses of parliament at various times, so it is not even a case of who owns the majority or who runs the oval office, to effect an overturn of the ruling.
Which is why I said it has very little to do with Trump's tweet because that's just what it is, A TWEET, as is usual with the loose vocal orifice he possesses. He can't just tweet it and it becomes LAW, ergo, much ado over nothing.

You are absolutely right. That's why people are surprised that Trump wil say that a flag burner should be jailed or stripped of their citizenship. You think someone with a high school diploma will know that. The tweets are not doing him any good.

Why would a 70 year old be so obsessed with tweeting?. I know teenagers that are not that obsessed. This is going to be very interesting 4 years. Someone needs to get that phone away from him. It's an unhealthy addiction for a soon to be president.

I absolutely agree with you. It was the biggest con job in the history of US but now is the time to perform. All the right wingers and Billionares are not going to help America's middle class. God help all those dark people trying to emigrate to US. They think it's hard to get US visa before, they will find out after January 20.
