The interview session from the U.S convention though. I strongly feel he should not have said that much, even putting fear in the heart of his audience. I respect the right to self determination but I don't think it should be like that. I just pray God will help him out of this situation.

Its amazing how a year ago IPOB youths were threating fire and brimstone if Kanu wasn't released before January this year,
now it has become a "to your tents o Israel" issue;

sad thing is many died over this, and now, those who led others to their deaths have chickened out under the pressure of earthly desires.

Youths and teenagers many of whom their brains are still developing, cannot process more than one thought or decision at a time, and with a lack of listening to elders (many of who saw the civil war) went out to promote a cause they knew they'd never win without following due process.

I mourn with the bereaved;

But I am more amazed at the lack of fire to champion a cause that was ready to plunge us in to civil war and unrest barely 12 months ago...

Let us let the law and government handle this, and if they don't do so to our tastes, well there's 2019....

Some wise heads are still around.
Nigeria still has hope of being redeemed.

I don't have anything against granting Biafra
independence, but current events in the world today
suggest that no nation wants to break or lose an inch of it's territory to the whims of secessionists. Example, India is seriously shooting pellets into the eyes of secessionists in the valley town of Kasmir, thereby blinding hundreds of protesters seeking for
independence, Israel won't recognise Palestine as a
sovereign state, the Senkaku Islands conflict between
China vs Taiwan vs Japan; Russia annexed Crimea from
Ukraine in 2014, the falklands Islands war between
England and Argentina, Spain and Catalona, even the
almighty US is holding down Puerto Rico from self-rule; and Puerto Rico's freedom fighter, Oscar Lopez Rivera, is still in the US federal prison for the past 35yrs. Its just recently that people are lobbying Obama to pardon him before he leaves office for Trump. I can go on and on ad infinitum..

So in conclusion, not allowing Biafra independence is not peculiar to Nigeria alone but a global practice.

And what would you say about the 2014 referendum that allowed Scotland to choose if they wish to leave the UK? What would you say about the 2014 Crimean Rederendum that allowed the Crimean Region to leave Ukrain? What would you say about Buhari supporting Saharawi Republic leaving Morocco? Or that America is about to begin talks to let Hawaii go?

From what I understand, Biafrans wont be invading and annexing anyone's land but their own. They would only walk away with what is theirs.

We live in an advanced world so we hope that many have learned from mistakes of the past. Bloodshed was a byproduct of many secessionist efforts of the past, but Brexit (and others) have shown that it can be done cordially and democratically. Because Africans regard culture and identity as a hallmark of who they are, I'd imagine that other ethnicities of Nigeria would rather see Biafrans go free instead of hanging the Biafran War over their heads as a morbid reminder not to secede from unabated chaos.

The army's operation snake dance for the east should tell ever thinking person the govt influenced the court bail judgement. If not Y are they soldiers stationed at Niger bridge even before the ruling n operation snake dance commenced few days to the ruling. The arresting of judges is an arm twisting of the judiciary to the tyrants rulings

Then what stops the IPOB from seeking the way of referendum
instead of soliciting for arms and preparing for war,
knowing fully well that once the Niger bridge is blocked Igbos are cage?

USA isn't in any talks to let Hawaii go I've been in the USA for over 20 years and trust me that isn't even close to happening. The only territory of the USA with any chance of leaving is Puerto Rico and its people have voted for being the 51st state. Anyways I just feel ipob/massob's best move would be to form a political alliance and win enough governor or senatorial seats to then be able to give the option of the people who live in Igbo land and who are in the diaspora to VOTE their way out of Nigeria. Why this approach isn't being followed befuddles me and I suspect it's because they wouldn't get the support of most igbos especially those in the diaspora

I think IPOB have said severally that they are looking forward to the case.
It's either Nigeria tow the line of diplomacy, by following the already established route to solving this sort of important issue(Referendum), or set it all of.
We're all in it together, everyone would be affected, including you and your family.

Mr man go and watch those videos again. He solicited for money to buy arms so he can wage a war against the Nigerian state. That is high treason punishable by death
go and watch the videos again. buying arms to defend oneself is never a crime.
in the video he talked about Fulani herdsmen and solicited for arms to defend our people

Keep deceiving urself, who the hell u people think u are? if the south east provoke any war, be rest assured u all will be the ones to suffer the highest casualties just like in 1967. U people are handicapped, u have no bargaining chip to threaten Nigeria with. Biafra is not an important issue for Buhari or Nigeria, when u are ready to fight the comeout, and stop dishing out useless threats.

cheesy cheesy wink1 Kings 19:17 (KJV) ''And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay''.
(The withdrawal of Tsoho has a prophetic tinge that has sealed the fate of Kanu and confirms the death penalty hanging over him like the sword of Damocles. The two judges that withdrew are archetypes of Jehu and Hazael. Meaning Kanu will be slain by the sword of Elisha - the next Judge. Adios Amigos. We won't miss him. Maybe condom sellers will)

I suppose you're referring to the constitution written by the military. You don't need a constitution to explicitly mention referendum before a government can seek the will/opinion of a people.

If you may know, United Kingdom of great Britain doesn't even have a "constitution".

Referendum is conducted to seek an opinion of the people on issues of paramount importance.

Meanwhile, your thinking of arms conflict as the solution is why Africa is several centuries behind civilization, to the benefit of those who created the mess in the first place.

Dont compare the UK which has an unwritten constitution to our rigid constitution. A referendum cannot be held in Nigeria under our current laws. For the fact that the current constitution we operate under was bequeathed to us by the military does not make it any less binding on us as a nation. Also this referendum you seek is not just for any ordinary issue, but the dissolution of the state. Thats treasonous

This is total twaddles on the part of the fg. I beckon with fg on this matter. How are they threat to national security? How could masquerade testify against them in secrecy when you vehemently accused them in the open. This is break down of rule of law. Kanu should be set free and this matter laid to rest. When the judge has been threatened by the presidency. I see danger looming as the forceful imprisonment of kanu could lead to the country "Biafra" is nigh. We shall see to this end.
so you can easily go and kidnap and murder dem right? Nwokem the safety of the testifiers matter alot. He engaged in treasonable felony and should be man enough to face the consequences. Ranting for Biafra you don't even know anything about.
