I think you are the one missing my point. I fully understood your thread but chose to pick out some areas i was not comfortable with which i believe is what or where you are leaning towards now.

The famous Philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein once said "You get tragedy where the tree, instead of bending, breaks." You here being the Tree! and he also said "I don't know why we are here, but I'm pretty sure that it is not in order to enjoy ourselves."

Whats your take?
in as much as i read about philosophers what they say is must not be true. no one knows why we are here. but then, we gave ourselves purpose, without purpose life is useless, i used to think, what if this earth is a base God set to punish us for our sins in the spiritual world? because last time i checked we are all suffering. although in different level.
all still remain thoughts,

there is only one group of people who can tell about the after life. The dead.... and that itself cannot be considered an absolute truth. its a world of puzzle baby, believe whatever you like when you die you might find out what is true and what is false. Pain of the living.

Why are you perpetuating the lying apologist's false definition of atheism? An atheist is simply someone who does not believe in any God. If you don't believe in any God then you are an atheist regardless of what you choose to call yourself. Very few atheists would say that they are sure there is no God. Even "militant" atheists like Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris and Lawrence Krause would not make that claim. The version of atheism you are trying to throw under the bus for your personal benefit is very rare in the real world. So stop confusing people, please.

Why then do you choose to investigate or mock a God that does not exist or rather, a God you do not believe in ?

Why do atheists answer questions about God if they don't believe that there is one or believe in one?'

I remember as a teen i had a very busy mind...i still do but its a lot more streamlined now. Back then i considered us as a lot of different things. I considered us as experiments in some lab for the gods, or as some kind of 3D imaging of some kind of 10D world we are yet to see and everything was like us watching a TV and somebody had the remote switch to that Tv and we were in the box and then i watched the Matrix and i began to think we were part of some coded world that needed to be transcribed to understand.

I thought about so many things as i would gladly say that i was actually tested and was a genius while young. But nothing made sense.

The only thing that can bottle up all the nonsense is faith and you understanding that yes you have limitations. The grave itself isnt an assumption. We all know death is inevitable but what many still doubt is if there is life after death but even that has been shown to be a huge possibility to the skeptic and a definite occurrence for the faithful.

Your limitation makes you drift which is why you cannot hold any philosophical view as absolute so why hold one at all if its limited and unverifiable?

Didnt you say you were a beliver before? Is it that when you dump your faith you all of a sudden blank out on what had known, or you didnt know anything at all wen u were in church?

Questions like "What was the tree doing there" betrays your claims of ever being in church, much less being a christian.

There's some one i respect very much in this forum, he is not a Christian, but reasons so well. His reasons runs across all faiths.
He is not a religious person, but listen to him and get insight to what you believe in. He is better than some so called Pastors.
A guy like Hardmirror who claim to be a Pastor will melt at his presence.

Why can't former christians be like that? If you were a christian, but for reasons only you know, decided agaisnt it, why not know enough to tell someone why you no longer believe? Instead of just throwing your ignorance around?

Again you misunderstand me. this is a discussion and not a debate. I am not condemning you. In fact some things you said i concurred in my last comment. I am only trying to see if we can arrive at a common ground based on your new position as a DEIST because that is what you are now.

Deists? do deists believe atheists use faith too? do deists believe atheists are "right"... in case you missed my quote here is what sums up my experience

It is foolish to say there's a god but more foolish to say there's no god........................... i hope that conforms with the concepts of deists?

Ok so what of you? are you 100% certain there's no God?
Nobody is 100% certain that there is no God. But in my experience, things for which no objective evidence has been found despite concerted efforts to find such evidence, such as aliens living among us, God, and perpetual motion machines, are unlikely to exist. So it is not rational to believe that they exist, not to mention dedicating your entire life to them.
