I work in a govt tertiary institution. And the management of my institution has had occasion to sack staff for sexual misconduct. So I know how it is done. Without hard, indisputable evidence, no one is sacking anyone.
Do u know the potential exposure which lecturers will face if the govt can just wake up and sack them based on what a student says?

I have supervised jamb several times. And each time, I weep for our students and youths. They don't know Jack. They don't even bother to study. It is that bad.

I still maintain that a lecturer will be f*cking scared of failing a student who deserves to pass. The possible repercussions are scary. Answer Scripts get re-marked all the time. Most lecturers also have enemies among their ranks that will never cover up for them. So a re-marking will likely expose the deed.

All these students that bribe and sleep with lecturers for grades are very stupid and dumb. Most of them are so lazy that they have no other choice. They can't study. They deserve to fail.
But that does not justify lecturers to take advantage of the rot and further corrupt the system.

Those randy lectures are every where even uni self and not only lecturers. Have even break up with my Girlfriend in kwara state university cuz of those 222 battalion Nigeria Army soldiers at sobi barracks, those soldiers are taking serious advantage of girls in kwasu.

On one hand, you say they may have been sacked following INVESTIGATIONS. Then in the next sentence you wonder if they were sacked 'based on hearsay and rumors'.

Make up your mind. If you admit there was an investigation, why babble on about 'hearsay'?

I don't get u, let's assume there is a rumour frm a soft sell magazine like hint on how a group of civil servants sold agency's equipment

A panel was then setup up, the findings revealed that the allegations where true, you are telling me it won't hold water in court because the allegation came frm a non reputable source

my point is that investigations of this nature is best done internally by the school, and very discretely in order to obtain tangible admissible evidence.
It is not what the EFCC, the police, ministry of Education and all other groups of people (that do not know their left from their right about the basic facts related to the matter) should handle.
In such circumstances, the investigations usually end up with the (hired) investigators seeking out some scapegoats to hang, in order to hide their ignorance and also justify that they were effective in executing the job they were given. I have seen it play out several times.

I don't know how else to explain this to u. But trust me, If u work in a government agency, especially if u are close to the main stream corridors of power, u will definitely understand and appreciate how MDA politics and bureaucracy operate.
