When we tell them that the Yorubas' civilization & existence is as old as the existence of Man, they(flat.ties) cringe & call them brown roof. Your forefathers were still living in thatched roofs when the Yorubas were using corrugated sheets.
Truth is mine!

You mean tortoise is the symbol of your civilization?

330 years old means that it was born in 1686?
When did we start recording the birth dates of people in Ogbomosho talk less of a turtle?
Where are the graves of Ogbomosho people who died 330 years
Why can't we ask questions?

Had it been this info came from the white man, you would believe it. That tortoise is upto that age. They calculated it by the ascension of the past kings to the present. That is, from the 3rd Soun to the present Soun.

May be that's what you wish should be done. The people who have preserved it till today haven't thought like you otherwise it should have been killed long ago

You probably don't live around Oyo state, if you do, you must have heard of the tortoise. There's no hidden agenda or new story about it. The story about it has been passed down from generation to generation.
Besides, tortoises are known to live for more than 500 years, so this tortoise hasn't done anything "special".

where did I refer to Heritage? Why can't you read between the lines with a clear head.
I was simply targeting those who hurl the "brown roof jabs". You could imagine a Roof that had been in existence for over 300yrs, would you expect it keeps shinning each day like the sun?

Truth is mine!
