wirinet: Mr Itsekiri, I really feel your eternal pains and miseries as you continue to wail and gnash your dirty teeth on NL at the mere thought of NK, IPOB or Biaf... I quite understand that the earnest desires of you and your hopeless generation is to have the Great Igbo Nation to continue to subsidise your vassalage, cluelessness and obliviousness in this expired entity. Take heart. It has been sounded loud and clear for even the deaf and dumb to understand that Igbos don't need you and all you ever stand for in life and hereafter. Face OduaArewanistan republic or MOSUNDI where you're needed. Mosundi Demands Niger Delta Peoples Republic:https://www.nairaland.com/2355622/mosundi-demands-niger-delta-peoples

Abagworo:Wetin we no go hear for this country. As much as I don't support the modus operandi of most IPOB supporters, this your comment really shows that there's recession in Nigeria. How you were able to deduce this to Rochas Okorocha becoming president beats me. |

wirinet: Speaking for or against can be determine by referendum. Let's vote for or against. Brexit was by referendum not by opinion. Am neighter sure by Vote we will have Biafra nor am I sure we won't have it. If we are matured, let's vote and not force people against their wish. If you want Biafrans in Nigeria and they are complaining and want a separate state, look at their complaints and solve it. To you, give me 5 reasons to have faith in Nigeria or to remain a Nigerian. |

0xtr000r: Mr Igbo, who is sounding pained and miserable between the two of us. You are so pained when people you want to forcefully drag into your biafran dream land reject you. An itsekiri will not waste a single thought on NK, IPOB or Biafra. Please can you tell us how the Igbo's subsidize itsekiris? What has the itsekiris gained from Igbos? Or are you speaking in irony? It is we that subsidizes your sorry ass. If we shut down all our oil wells, you will die of starvation. Then stop mentioning the itsekiris in your fabled Biafra, stop including warri in your map of Biafra, it is an insult to the people of warri. If we want to join OduaArewanistan or MOSUNDI, I do not see how that is your headache. |

XieXie:Living in denial. If Nigeria did not succeed in defeating Biafra, why did you people surrender? Why did Ojukwu run away and Phillip Effiong sign an unconditional surrender letter to Obasanjo? IPOB is simply a radio propagandist outfit by NK to hoodwink and defraud, ignorant traders and okada riders. |

xelly:You cannot force a referendum on a people, my people had never asked for a referendum. The last time my people asked for a referendum was in 1963, when we decided to opt out of the western region. If you people want a referendum, good for you, but leave us out of it. I really do not care if Biafrans remain in Nigeria or even join Cameroon. We just want to be left alone to chart our future. Oil politics ( which all these agitations is based) has fragmented and disrupted the social economic wellbeing of my people ( not to talk of physical). Most of you people complaints is greater share of power and national cake, is presidency, more states, federal presence, etc. It is never about the socio economic development of the people. 1. It cannot be done peacefully, meaning there will be a devastating war which will have huge consequences in terms of lives and infrastructure. ( look at Syria and Libya) 2. It will have the animal farm effect. The new leaders in Biafra will not be different from the old leaders in Nigeria. The agitators of Biafra have not shown any new ideas or tendencies different from the normal Nigerian character. 3. Even if it somehow succeed, there will be protracted border war with Nigeria as both sides will lay claims to border areas of Benue, Delta, Rivers and cross rivers. Remember kasmir. My warri might even be caught in the cross fire. 4. Foreign powers like Russia, US, China, France, etc, would cash in to take advantage of our vulnerable state. Each power would support different regions, thereby giving us less sovereignty overseas our economy and affairs. Have many more points but have to go out now. |

MyGeneration: We made a bad decision by engaging in the first coup? Biko, tell me, who is the 'We' you are talking about? Does few Igbo army majors and a Yoruba translate to We, the entire Igbo nation? Was your father or grand father consulted before the coup was carried out? How old are you? |

MyGeneration:Igbos like yourself ought to be ashamed of yourself. You maake very bogus statements and when you're confronted with superior wisdom, your resort to giving replies like you just did. Why don't you tell us how the action of one Igbo man or a few Igbo people translate to the action of the entire Igbo race. I'm also not so enthusiastic about the whole Biafra ish but i'm not remotely senseless enough not to know that it is the right of any group is Nigeria to seek self determination. it has never been a crime and it will never be. Granted most supporters of IPOB and MASSOB are violently vocal in their utterance or should i say, forceful in the way they cajole, people, it's left for us to represent an alternative geared towards a similar goal and not to throw away the baby with the bath water. |

Afam4eva:Ok lets start nw; 1) do you know dat after ahmadu bello was killed by the coup plotters a certain people(tribe) were celebrating up north, why a certain people were crying. The people who were celebrating, did they tell you they were celebrating because they did not support d coup or they otherwise? 2) if the certain people were not in support of the coup why did they get angry when there was a counter coup and started demanding for secession? 3) please can u give me d names of prominent igbo leaders killed in the coup? Then give me names of doz from oda region killed. Is it not fishy, ethnically biased nd one sided? I hv read enuf abt d war, i just dont want to open close wounds of our attricities back then before d counter coup. |
Re: Imo State Will Not Join Biafra If It Succeeds. by MyGeneration(m): 3:28pm On Dec 05, 2016 |
Igbos were not consulted by d military men before d coup, but our attitude after it was what caused alot of mishap. If when Ahmadu bello was murdered we had behaved ourselves and not just start acting irresponsible so many things cud hv been avoided. We are making a mistake now attacking Buhari up and down. Just imagine if our son wants to be president and the north starts fighting him like dz wud dat be ok. Jonathan is not, and was never our son, why the senseless support for him? I ve said it before and i wud always say it No ijaw man or southsouth person can ever give any igbo man the kind of support we gave Jonathan. The same way Nnamdi kanu and his crew did not consukt igbks before he started insulting everybody, the actions of igbos towards his radio station and online shows dat we endorse what he is doing amd are in supoort. If tomorrow we miscalculate amd sth goes wrong nobody wud say he dis not consult igbos before doing anything it wud be Igbos did this and that |

Afam4eva: I am surprised someone as brilliant and exposed as you is making the statement I bolded. Well you might be right that any group in Nigeria or any other country has the right to seek self determination, but it is also the right of Nigeria to refuse, such requests. Just like Idi-amin used to say, freedom of speech is guaranteed, but what he cannot guarantee is freedom after speech. A group can only exercise its freedom to self determination if it has the military might to gain and protect that right to self determination or if it has a super power that is ready to help sustain and protect that right to self determination, otherwise, you will just sacrifice your people for nothing. Western Sahara has been fighting for independence from Morocco for decades, Tibet has been under Chinese occupation for almost a century, their spiritual leader has been in exile for decades, the Basque has been fighting for independence from Spain for centuries. The kurds are scattered within three countries and they are fighting Turkey, Iraq and Syria for self determination. I can sight numerous other examples. The ones that had been successful ie, Israel, South Sudan, Taiwan, had the backing of US and by extension UN, if US withdraw support for Taiwan, the Chinese would overrun Taipei within days. |

wirinet:When we're discussing these issues, we do so bearing in mind that Nigeria calls itself a democratic country which invariably means that it abides by certain liberty codes which includes freedom of speech and association. It's one thing for the Nigerian government to trample on the rights of citizens and it's another to say they have the right to do so. It's like saying we all have the right to walk to the streets of Nigeria and open fire just because we are in a certain position of power. It's convenient for you to name countries that have been fighting for their freedom for decades without realizing that most of these countries unlike Nigeria don't claim to be democratic states. So, your China-Tibet analogy does not hold water. You also stated the Basque region of spain without realizing that despite the fact that they're yet to get their own country, nobody is forcing anybody, rather they sit down to talk on what will be beneficial to everybody. The reverse is the case in this country where we threaten people who daring to fight for their own self determination. Ultimately, we have to agree to disagree on whether Biafra shoudl exist or not. But one thing every sane human being has to agree to is the fact that it'a the inalienable right of citizens of a group of people within a country to fight for self determination. Only then can we move forward. |

MyGeneration:My friend shut the fvck up. Honestly you guys are a bunch of ingrates. The same Jonathan that put more igbos in his cabinet more than his own SS brothers and sisters . The same Jonathan was brought down by greedy igbos such as Stella oduah, Alison Madueke, olisa metuh etc and you are here talking trash.. Jonathan favoured igbos more than anyone else will if they were president. Even an igbo man will not favor his own the way Jonathan did so shut the fvck up once again. As for the part were you said that no SS will support an igbo man to be president that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.. A SS person is indifferent and will vote for someone who has the people at heart. So don't you ever put a blame on the ss people rather blame your fellow igbos who refused to vote for ojukwu when he was contesting for a political post...Blame your fellow igbos who refused to vote for okadigbo and Buhari when they came out to contest for presidency and leave the SS out of your miserable lives. . The biggest problem with igbos is that the blame everyone for their problems. .they blame the SS man, the blame the sw man, they blame the man from the north but they will never or should I say that they refuse to blame themselves when the truth is staring at them.. Until the igbos accept their fault and mend their ways nothing worthwhile can come out. |
