Lol. Diana indeed. Maybe it's a gift or just due to my experience, but it is ridiculously easy for me to INSTANTLY identify Nigerian writing - in spite of the use of 'big words' or a laborious attempt to prove fluency. One has to be really really good at the use of English as a pretendedly native speaker (or at least as a very very voracious reader and proficient/prolific writer) to conceal the Nigerianness in their writing from me. |
