1.Updating your Android phone doesn't add important and new features on most apps.

2.Updating your android mobile phones regularlly takes up spaces.By the time you have updated like 2 to 3 times your mobile phone internal memory will be full and it will not be able to save important messages like contact,pictures.Etc.Even when you try to delete some apps your internal storage remains full.Unless you format it.

3.Updating your mobile phone can cause your phone to malfunction after the memory is full except you format it.However,it cost data to download another apps.

That's not how it works my man, some updates may increase the app size depending on what was changed or added while others may also reduce the size of the app, updates don't just pile files on themselves, they mostly replace or change already existing files.
