Let us do the right thing - Stakeholders need to stand up against building collapse.

Stop using sub-standard materials. Always involve qualified and trusted professionals and don't try to micro-manage them.

Allow them do their job to standard. Sometimes the contract politics and back hand cuts even in religious organizations are mind boggling. Its that shameful.

Let Bricklayers be bricklayers. Let Engineers be Engineers. Everyone should co-operate together and play their roles well without undue interference, and with the same goal in mind.

That's why I pull out of a project when i begin to notice undue influence.

This is not a building. This is more of a canopy. Still a pity this happened. The blame goes to the structural engineers for not allowing more factor of safety in design. Materials in Nigeria are much weaker than their laboratory values.

How are we sure QUALIFIED ENGINEERS WERE ENGAGED IN THE DESIGN AND EXECUTION PROCESS.

If at all qualified engineers were used,then means they work against the engineering ethics.

I hope COREN ERM will swing into action.
