Dear OP, anybody that follows up to 5 or more topics on phone section would have 'Phones' listed on his most active section in less than three days, so I'm not sure if that criteria would work...!

Take a look at my profile for example, Car Talk is my first most active section, followed by Phones...

But active phonelanders like you would also testify that I'm one of the most active members in this section, so what happens to people like me? You just relegate us to the background even though we're very active

003. SMARTPHONE DESIGN OF THE YEAR
This category belongs to the smartphones that has astonishing design at sight and amazing feel when held.

004. VALUE FOR MONEY SMARTPHONE OF THE YEAR
This category belongs to smartphones that offer way more than the price at which they are sold for.

005. AFFORDABLE PHONE OF THE YEAR
This category belongs to the best mobile phones below the price of N30,000.

011. SMARTPHONE OPERATING SYSTEM OF THE YEAR
This category belongs to the smartphone operating system which has the best features and well optimized to work for it's smartphone.

021. PHONE COMPANY OF THE YEAR
The category belongs to mobile phone maker who has contributed most in both quality and quality to the industry this year.

022. PHONE RETAILER OF THE YEAR
This category belongs to stores both online and physical who offers the widest range of smartphones with best services in aspect to retail.

012. SMARTPHONE APP OF THE YEAR
This category belongs to that smartphone app or game that is widely used with great interface and interesting features.

006. NON-SMARTPHONE SMART DEVICE OF THE YEAR
This category belongs to the tablets, smartwatch, PC, smart TV and IOT devices that has been outstanding in design and performance this year.

023. TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMPANY OF THE YEAR
This category belongs to the telecommunications company that has the best quality of services, consumer friendly product and customer care.

031. TECH BLOGGER OF THE YEAR
This category belongs to bloggers that have been consistent, own or contribute to an exclusive technology blog, and has offered the best articles on phones and related product through out the year.

013. PHONE SECTION TOPIC OF THE YEAR
This category belongs to the best topic to ever from phone section this year.

032. PHONE SECTION PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR
This category belongs to the most outstanding person, made the most important contributions, and popular among users of the section.

HOW TO NOMINATE/VOTE
Simply type the category code, then your nomination by the side.
Example:
001 Apple iPhone 5
002 Nokia Lumia 1020
011 Meego OS
And so on…


RULES!
Nomination and voting goes together. Like I said it is a consumer choice awards. So unlike professional awards, you guys (the consumer) get to nominate each product, company or person you feel or knows deserve to win each category. Each nomination would count as a vote therefore The highest nominated device wins at it category. The category codes are numbered according to the type of the category, do not get confused by it.
Device nominated must be devices announced or released in 2016 i.e all categories with the "00" initials code. Every other category are companies or person that gave it their best in 2016, and product that was widely used and helpful In 2016. PHONE SECTION TOPIC OF THE YEAR must be a 2016 topic also.
Nomination is open to all nairaland members with accounts older than November 30th. This is excluding the PHONE SECTION PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR, only members with "phone" as the first or second section of their active sections on their profile is allowed to nominate here.
TECH BLOGGER OF THE YEAR goes to the blogger(a person) not the blog. Therefore write the person name and the blog in brackets.
When nominating Android as SMARTPHONE OPERATING SYSTEM OF THE YEAR please Indicate In brackets what custom skin or custom version your are nominating, if you can't tell, just type the name of the phone.
Nominations having only one specific brand mentioned all through would not be counted.
please read carefully because nominations against the rules won't be counted.
Nomination ends on 11:59pm Sunday, 18th of December 2016.
Winners would be announced on Wednesday, 21st of December 2016.
