TheGoodJoe:Yes i watched d match coz Nacho, honestly i w not condemn him coz d whole team performed poorly,no need to single out Nacho for blame but one thing is glaring d Aguero shoe is too big for Nacho for now and d burden on him is too much,i hope Guardiola w let him development at his own pace coz it w takes time to reach Aguero level. |

Kog45: Why is Aguero’s shoe too big? Because, the midfielders failed to create clear cut chances for Iheanacho? Remember, we had the same issue with the Chelsea game, where the referee allowed unfair physical defending against Aguero. Aguero lost hi Temper in that game. Whether Messi, Ronaldo, Robben, Hazard or Aguero, if the Referee does not protect the attacker, they will not perform. |

TheGoodJoe:But Stone is not old, anytime I see stone I see another Cahill another name for calamity |

Kog45: Did you watch the foul in the box against Iheanacho by Albrighton? If you did, you will know Aguero would not get to that ball. That was a clear penalty won that would have brought City into the game. |

zicky: Stones has a nice touch on the ball. Has great ability moving the ball forward. Miles ahead of Cahill in that respect. However, he lacks the intelligence of his Spanish and South American counterparts. Makes lots of poor judgments. We hope Guardiola can improve him but if not, we should get younger players in camp. Drill them in awareness, positioning and decision making. I doubt the likes of Tosin and Mari will make such atrocious decisions. |

Iheanacho is faster and mobile in the box than Aguero. He just needs better services to show his class. |

TheGoodJoe:I wonder how he came to the conclusion of Agueros shoe too big, because the midfield and defense was poor |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 9:36pm On Dec 10, 2016 |
zicky: As for Me, Aguero misses more than Iheanacho. City needs lots of rebuilding and it shows how much work is ahead if him. Players like Sterling, Delph and Fernando can be easily replaced with far better talents. With more creative players feeding Iheanacho, he can easily rake World Class stats. |

TheGoodJoe:please do not exonerate Guardiola from this coz i don't understand what u mean by saying d defenders are too old to keep up with intense training of Guardiola. The major culprit today is young overhype Stones who lack d pace and energy to keep vardy at bay,d same thing happened against Chelsea coz he find it difficult to curtain costa, what of bravo who don't know how to read his line as a goalkeeper,7 goals conceded in d last 2 EPL matches not good rating for Guardiola. |

TheGoodJoe:Pls try to understand me,am not saying he cannot replace Aguero but for now we should not expect much from Nacho, unnecessary burden to be at same level with Aguero is uncalled for. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 9:46pm On Dec 10, 2016 |
Kog45: I already said I will exonerate the players because they are too old. So how does that exonerate Guardiola. I already said it is suicidal playing a highline with slow defenders. So, how and when did I exonerate Guardiola? |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 9:48pm On Dec 10, 2016 |
Kog45: Why? How old was Anelka before he became one of the best in the World? How old was Ronaldo De Lima before he was the best in the World. These were teenagers. Iheanacho showed guts and hunger. Showed passion by putting in repeated brilliant runs. Guardiola is protecting him enough making him the second striker. As long as he keeps working hard, he is up to the task. |

Kog45: Go and watch the first goal. Stones was the last defender beaten. So, how can he be the major culprit. The blame can not fall on one player. The only defender that came to the game was Sagna. He was phenomenal. A second defensive performance like that and it would have been a different game. The problem is Zabaleta and Kolarov are past their best. Tracking back is difficult. Where Stones failed is his decision making. By the way, let people leave that Stones is overhyped. He is one of the most criticised defenders, even before he joined City. |

Kog45:Nacho had nothing to do with that match being like that, before he could get a touch they were down 2-0. He picked them up in the 2nd half but he got subbed. This is my opinion, Pep is making Iheanacho the scape goat for his shameless defence. Also that Navas joke has gone too far, Nolito should have started. |

TheGoodJoe:Cahill also has nice ball touch, nothing different from both players, world class defending today, the next day they make school boy error. Stone was shaking today like a toddler, you saw that hand ball incidence when Verdy was closing him down, I was just laughing |

Kog45:Guardiola's team trains and plays to keep the ball most of the time. Today's game was a typical example. The defender push up towards the half way line and play as midfielders. This enables build-up plays with the team compact in the opponents half. When we lose the ball, the defenders need to sprint to get the ball back. Then push-up to continue the cycle. Ranieri knew the defenders are old and slow, so he kept few men on their shoulders. When we lost the ball, it was difficult for our slow defenders to cope with Vardy, Slimani and Mahrez. |

zicky: Stones is miles ahead in ball distribution and moving with the ball. Cahill can not play with such confident or hold the ball as long as Stones. However, Stones atrocious decision-making lets him down. That leads to the errors. That ball control that hit his hand was a typical example. There were options to pass the ball earlier but he chose to hold the ball. With time, he can pickup but I prefer a naturally gifted defender like Marquinhos than to groom a player to make such decisions right. |

BascoVanVeli: Navas showed penetration. Made fast runs and caused Leicester City problems. Remember the time Albrighton fouled Navas. That was a clear yellow but as Usual, it was City. Nolito played upfront and also, Navas switched wings. Nolito hardly plays on the right side of the field. Guardiola did not make Iheanacho the scape goat. Hence, the referee was not going to protect Iheanacho against such vicious and reckless defending, Guardiola opted to go with a physical presence upfront with Yaya Toure. |

Kog45:The strategy requires a lot of running and it suits younger players more than the older ones. That is why most City buys are young players like, Sane, Moreno, Gabriel. |

TheGoodJoe:Good, then defenders are at fault coz they cannot keep up with intense strategy of Guardiola, not d coach. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 10:18pm On Dec 10, 2016 |
Kog45: I will not exonerate Guardiola because he works with these guys in training. He should have seen they will not keep up with it. It is his job to pick the right players for the season. He is paying for his reliance on experience to salvage the situation. However, under intense pressure like the first game against Celtic, Tottenham and today's game, they fold. It is up to Guardiola to find some gems to fill these gaps like he did with Pique who was about 20 years to help the defence. |

TheGoodJoe:They beat the crap out of city. I stopped watching when Pep took Iheanacho out but city has no defence they need to buy a whole new defence line and maybe a keeper since Bravo keeps falling my hand. Iheanacho will need players like Nolito and Yaya to show his best their chemistry is already there, Navas was just running around passing nonsense. |
