emorse:ignorant people. How can tithe belong to anybody? How come Christianity in Nigria is being practiced differently from the Europeans who brought it to us? It is this tithe that Oyedepo was spending that made uK government to ban him from entering the UK because of church corruption |

maggdon045:So all the money he takes from Rivers State without giving back to Rivers people, he takes it to Kwara, a Moslem State, to develop. Yet, he is unable to convert Kwara Yorubas to Christianity. I blame the Rivers people who foolishly attend his church and fall for his tricks. |

Majesticniyi:If Oyedepo was in the UK, he would be in jail. Google and find out why Oyedepo can't enter the UK. The day he steps into the UK, he will be in jail like James Ibori. He has been banned from entering the UK by the UK government for church corruption offence. Now, that is the man you try so hard to defend.only in Nigeria financial criminals gloat and smile and own everything, school, jet etc. |

Help people as much as you can if you are so richly blessed because surely and truly all the wealth you will leave them oneday and go on the journey of no return. It does not matter your level, status, person or position, it does not matter how it happens or where it happens whether on the road or in the comfort of your bedroom, office or hotel room or even while on duty. One thing is clear the journey of no return surely awaits everyone and no man knows the hour nor the time. So help somebody while you can. |

Deban:July 18, 2015 – UK Clears Bishop Oyedepo & Winners Chapel London Of £16 Million Money Laundering Allegations Raised By Investigative Journalist Months after an investigative journalist volunteered to lie against the Living Faith Church Aka Winners Chapel International in London, the UK Charity Commission Board has concluded their investigation and has cleared the Winners Chapel London of any financial misappropriation. Here are some findings from the investigation: Our review of the charity’s financial information identified minor discrepancies. However, the trustees were able to explain and resolve these. We found no evidence that £16 million or any other amount had been misappropriated. We were satisfied the charity could demonstrate good financial controls, appropriate for a large and expanding charity. We provided the trustees with general financial advice and guidance on best practice with regards to categorising expenditure, gift aid and grant making in their accounts. We confirmed the charity had an appropriate safeguarding policy in place which was based on the model provided by Churches Child Protection Advisory Service. The policy is extensive and covers all the recommendations in the commission’s guidance. During our case we did not identify any evidence to suggest beneficiaries of the charity are at risk. The incident occurred in Nigeria and there were no incidents involving this charity. The charity managed the reputational risk of its association with the incident in Nigeria by taking legal advice, discussing the matter at trustee meetings, responding to press queries and issuing statements as appropriate. We identified a potential conflict of interest arising from the employment of an individual who was related to the founder. However, we were satisfied with the trustees’ decision making in respect of the employment. They demonstrated that the conflict of interest was managed and that they had appropriate policies which were applied. Overall, its accounts were good and complied with the SORP for charity accounting; however our review of the accounts raised a number of issues to warrant further exploration including honorariums, transfers of funds, expenditure categories and gift aid. The trustees were able to provide satisfactory responses to the queries we raised on these issues. The UK Charity Commission will want other charities to know that: This charity had sound policies in place to help protect it against risk and had good records to show how the trustees had acted and what decisions it had made. This put the trustees in a good position to respond with confidence to serious allegations and to co-operate with our enquiries. We expect this of all charities: charities working with vulnerable people must have appropriate safeguarding policies and procedures in place; the trustees must ensure these procedures are being followed; trustees must put in place robust internal financial controls; charity trustees should regularly review and assess the risks faced by their charity in all areas of its work and plan for the management of those risks – our guidance on risk management outlines the basic principles and strategies that can be applied to help charities manage their risks”. Nov 28, 2014 – British Government Denies Winners Chapel London Church Fraud Allegations “We’re Not Investigating Bishop David Oyedepo’s Ministry” The British Government, through its Charity Commission, has said it is not investigating Winners Chapel International, a church belonging to the popular pentecostal clergyman, Dr. David Oyedepo. A spokeswoman for the commission said the CC was only considering the financial information provided by the church. The CC is responsible for registering eligible organisations in England and Wales that are established for only charitable purposes, taking enforcement action when there is malpractice or misconduct and ensuring charities meet their legal requirements. It also provides information on their activities each year, making appropriate information about each registered charity widely available, providing online services and guidance to help charities run as effectively as possible. Responding to an email enquiry by our correspondent, the commission’s spokeswoman, Sarah Hitchings, said that the consideration of the church’s finances by the British Government did not qualify as conducting an investigation on the church. Hitchings said, “We are not ‘investigating’ the charity. In the terms of our regulatory work, an ‘investigation’ is another word for ‘statutory inquiry’, the highest level of our investigatory work. “We are not investigating Winners Chapel” [Reported By Punchng] |

peacesamuel94:Propaganda.... How do you know a generous man ![]() When has excess money to give out?? No. See leave people to believe what they believe. You cannot convince people about another person's goodness...and if only the children of the rich can afford your school, yoou are really nothing Lyk Jesus Christ. Why do Christians bring up all sort of pagan written books on financial knowledge when we talk about the matters of God. Jesus Christ laid a simple example....but you are trying to justify a private jet and a school for the rich in the midst of the hungry core attending the church? And by extension wider society ![]() Going by Jesus and the early missionaries who came to Africa (real men of God) this thing you people call Christianity is pure bullcrap. People amass physical wealth foe generations... Jesus did not say be slightly materialistic, he de emphasized all things worldly... And you can see it from the kind of men he chose as disciples.... It is impossible for a rich man to see the kingdom of God... Because ordinary 500k in my acct I noticed I started looking down on people more and developing "I don't have to talk too much attitude"... The truth is painful and it hurts.... But I want to be rich either way even though I know the bible was correct when it said it will be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle before a money chaser/harvester in tons will see the kingdom.... So as a man of God, you are not supposed to join The worldly scramble for wealth...... Once its. More than what you and your family require to survive, you should giv it out to avoid the gloat that comes with it... |

Please, could you explain the sentences for me. I just dont understand. You were too rich and having so much but couldn't pay the fees and the visa. [quote author=pukena post=51937987]Why Are Some People Calling Bishop David Oyedepo A Greedy Man? When one of my elder brothers got admission into the University, my family had so much money that he could not pay for the school fees... Around the same time, one of my sister's got a visa to travel to America, but we were also too rich to even see flight ticket... |

saudyarmani:What do you define as doom? Suffering and death? If God promised a beautiful place better than earth tell me why one will be doomed to go there. The truth hurts, and why Do you ppl threaten someone with death? Is that the worst that could happen? Is there any pain in death?? |

pek:Let us examine what is important to God. Look at all the materialistic things you are mentioning... Christ travelled on foot and but owned none... So because the church out of all their free money decided to aid ppl with a paltry sum, then God's name be praised If hngry people exist within and around that church then I'm sorry the church is what they say it is...an amasser of wealth.... And the richest pastors in the wide world come from. Nigeria.... before God started calling them in their dreams, white men had risked their lives to bring the religion to us.... These niggas walk around wit body guards, Jesus sat among peasants.....lowlifes, ppl with nothing to offer...He who.holds onto his life will Lose it... The bible is clear. God. Is clear in his word... You ppl have being brainwashed you dont even read the bible. What daddy says is what you do.. |

HCpaul:You shouldn't say what you don't know. Even if he doesn't help anyone, what's your business ehn? If you are against him no issues buy u saying God called or didn't call this or that is really what got my attention. Whoever made you a Judge over anybody? Do not incur the wrath of God upon yourself. Please learn not to bash any Pastor or individual sef, there are consequences. If you do not feel fine with a pastor, leave the church or ignore him. I dislike people like this I swear |

hobermener:You said my mind with your write-up and to add to it, I like to remind our end-time Pastors, their PR managers and their Sunday-Sunday contributors what Jesus's view is about wealth acquisition and the kingdom of God as shown in one passage they'll probably not preach nor hear them preach about; it goes thus: And Jesus said to the young rich man that asked him what he had to do to get to heaven, he said to him go and give all you have to the poor and come follow me. He didn't say to him bring or sow all you have in my ministry and God will bless you, like these gluttons tell their congregation to do. The god that will bless someone only after that person gives to him is a businessman. Giving and caring for the needy is a life long obligation of a man who says or claims to be called by God Almighty and as long as there are and will always be poor and needy people around particularly in those church these supposedly MOG preside over they have no moral right to fly in those jet linear and expensive jewelry and cloths. The Dangotes, Otedolas, Adenugas, Ubas, Ibrus have every right to those things without any obligations to the poor and needy because they are business-founders than a pastor or "church-founder" if there's suppose to be anything like that in Christianity. If a member you ministered to mistake you to be the source of his many blessings and wants to repay you personally simply remind him that you are only but a vessel/voice and redirect him to the giver of all good things and that the poor and needy persons around him/her are the people of Him that has called you to whom he/she can now bless with his/her thank offerings; it is by so doing that you're truly doing the service of God and him that called you because a servant cannot be greater than his master so says Jesus Himself and He is the same yesterday, today and forever. To put it bluntly; all these our modern day preacher/MOG are having the same mentality that Judas Iscariot had about Jesus and His Kingdom. Finally, to those that will be coming for me for saying these things; Do what you want to do quickly! I'm awaiting your kisses! But the day after tomorrow I'll still be here much stronger! |

donsteady:I love living in ghost mode but I think your response deserves a reply. Who wrote the bible? Are you a Christian? if you are, do you believe the bible? Then why question the churches that practise what was written (tithe, offering, seed). If Bishop Oyedepo wasn't successful today, would you have assumed he stole from the poor? There are some churches that are heavy givers, they sow every time, the only thing is that we give credit to those that publicize it. Even Jesus was against publicizing your givings, if you want to reap back (Matthew 6: 1-4). By the grace of God, I attended Covenant university and I knew a lot of people under living faith scholarship in that school. Have you wondered why there is no hall named" Oyedepo hall" in the entire winners ministry? because all the glory must be giving to Jesus, not any man. So, it's better you stop criticizing a man you know nothing about. You don't have no idea of the number of souls he has blessed or not. |
