It was the professional class. Yorubas rightfully don't see religion as an issue. Yoruba's have the largest Churches and also many Muslims. In terms of pull many Muslim n's are turning xtian everyday but the political tendencies don't change.

What is pushing Buhari is perception of integrity and honesty, disdain for corruption and his previous harsh clampdown on a culture wanton looting.

SW people have a love for Buhari carrying over from the old Buhari - Idiagbon era. It will take time for that live to wane. PDP rigged/bribed massively in the SW in 2014 and Tinubu was a partial liability to APC in parts of Lagos , Ondo and Ekiti , that was why the PDP even did well.

By 2019, there is not going to be opposition to Buhari or APC in the SW from any quarters. They will tailor programs to hit the right demographics and endure that political obstacles are eliminated long before elections.

The problem in Southwest is that after the fall of Ilorin, Islam was brought in Yorubaland with sword and threat of bloodshed making a lot of Yorubas turning themselves into Fulani slavish Muslims. They're the major problem in Southwest. Those people will vote for any Fulani Muslim irrespective of anything and they have money and media to spread lies. This man is saying bull shit.. PMB policies aren't really a topnotch but major appointment tilted to SW were arguably the biggest portfolio in the govt. Last time I checked Fashola and Mrs Adeosun is still holding their respective position. If those slot were giving to some Northerners, I know people will go ballistic and be saying PMB is giving appointment t his people. Meanwhile every regoin feels they are being marginalised. Why ? Who is Faseun?

He has no credibility to speak for the South West, he lost the integrity test after his romance and support for Jonathan the acclaimed most corrupt leader that ever lived in Africa during the last election.
