No wonder the low literacy rate, they have made education so unattractive

I still salute these kids...

Reason being that they understand the conditions which they go through is unimportant as long as the objective is obtained.

We can wail all day long...the people who will embezzlement will embezzle....

But let's talk about education more... so maybe just maybe it would get better

Thank God the north are finally educating the girl child!

I did my service in a JSS in a village called Karaye in Maiyama LGA of Kebbi state.

The mathematics I teach JSS3 students goes thus:

1+ 1 = 2

3* 2 = 6

They will be asking me what is the meaning of "plus" and *. But they had good learning materials like desk, exercise and textbooks, etc.

I served in kebbi state during my days

The hilarious part of the whole thing is that despite their illiteracy level, they have secured jobs in the government than most of us

I had a student back then in service. He was in the payroll of the ministry of finance while in secondary school.

kudos,i salute your courage, i think the only way we can develop in this country is to develop educationally, which in turns brings about physical and other development.
i cannot argue that the north attitude to education is parochial which must be tackled urgently.
I believe the governor of kebbi state to be a good man and I'm sure he will see to this.
more grease to your elbow bro, with people like you, [courageous ] things will be well

Now I know undecided undecided
Bro, I served in the East and I will tell u that many SS students can't speak English either.
Meanwhile, don't mistake pidgin for English. Pidgin is predominantly spoken in the East and as far as I'm concerned, it is vernacular just the way Hausa language is.
