Yes, Arabs, and undoubtedly, the Arabs contributed more to the building of these ancient cities, it's obvious from the architecture and other factors.
This is the difference with the Nigerian case. In Nigeria, our ancient cities were 100% owned and built by our own empires and kingdoms, there was no single foreign input.

I want to see the ancient Kenyan city that was purely and wholly built by the sweat of the Kikuyus, Kalenjins, Luos e.t.c under the rulership of their kingdoms and empires.

It is not a cultural thing, people anywhere marry within their races or tribes. Thats why in Nigeria there are Igbos, Hausas etc. And no one is milking the other, actually if it was about milking then one tribe in Kenya should be blamed, and it is black. And Iansweets I must say you are one person with very low intelligence. I see it from your point of arguments. You are either self hating or very tribal or very racist. You should know the meaning of the word humanity. And I am sure there are at least 2 Indian Kenyans on this forum, defending Kenya. And all I see is bigotry and hate

There are not many such. The Kikuyu or Luo or other tribes had very small populations btw, and they lived in smaller social gatherings. Same way, before the Romans molested Europe most of the Celtic, Franks, Germanic tribes, Slavic people did not have any form of an ancient city or shit. Before Greeeks no Rome, before Egypt no Rome and so on. Thats how it works, everything works by chance. And by acquired learning. The human race is a learning race. Why is there a technological boom now and it did not happen in 1500, acquired learning, people meet learn and so the exact same thing or better or in a way that suits them.

Very low intelligence indeed, I noticed that a long time ago. She doesn't even realize all ancient cities grew due to trade. Mombasa was started by a very strong coastal woman known as Mwana Mkisi - a Bantu. It grew mainly due to trade with mostly the Arabs. That's how cities grow. Kano grew due to trade with Arabs who brought Islam to West Africa too but she doesn't realize that. Very low intelligence.

Call me whatever you will but i am only reciprocating what people all over the world (including the Indians and whites whom you worship do). It is called 'protection of one's interests'.
The Europeans protected their collective interests and that is why they are where they are today. When the French, English, Portuguese and other Europeand were sharing Africa and Latin America amongst themselves for their selfish exploitation, where was their definition of 'humanity'?

I can never sit and watch one who is not one of my kind dominate and control my own people while shouting humanity. That's stupidity. Arabs didn't build Mombasa and Lamu either. See, the photos you people have been posting here of "Amazing Architecture" in Abuja are all of American architecture. Non is Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba or any native Nigerian. In Nairobi most architecture is a modified version of British architecture. Can we thus say Americans built Abuja? Kano was a city state before the Arabs came and so was Mombasa and Lamu yet you claim Mombasa and Lamu are Arab cities and Kano is not. That's why everyone thinks you're stupid.

Do u know that Fulfude (the native language of fulanis) is a sene-gambian language? And this has been the language of fulanis since their origin in futa djallon area of Senegal.
Fulanis are full negroids who originated from Senegal. The closest languages to fulani are wolof, Serer, Tukulor and other west African languages spoken by black africans.
Go and check fulani history well. They originated here in West Africa. It is even the hausas who are believed to have middle-eastern origin which some of their genes prove. The fulanis have pure African genes.

Besides, the fulanis conquered only the hausas. The yorubas, Edos, Bornus and other Nigerian tribes also had their ancient kingdoms and empires, some even stronger than the Sokoto caliphate.

To begin with, the Arabs found these Swahili cities in existence with the Swahili people speaking a swahili dialect nowadays found in Comoros with no Arab or other foreign loan words. The loan worded version emerged to facilitate trade, the some way there is Sheng Swahili now in Kenyan cities. The oldest of the Swahili cities dated in the 1st century existed before Arabs settled in the African coast

2nd thing, the design of the latter buildings in these cities (by later I mean 13th century +) was inspired by but differs from the Arabian architecture. 1st, they were all made from coral while Arab cities were mostly rocks. Roofing of swahili cities was by makuti, a local plant weaving design while for Arabs, it's mostly rock slabs. The urban design of Arab streets were wide enough to accommodate several chariots side by side. For Swahili cities, streets were built narrow to facilitate only donkey mounted people or pedestrians.

The 2 are clearly very different though Swahili architecture was inspired a lot by the Arabs, the same way European architecture was inspired by the same Arabs while the Arabs borrowed a leaf from the far East. It's called learning and improving.

And the most hilarious post I read was someone downplaying Kenya's higher HDI. Do you even know what HDI is? It is a very comprehensive representation of the qualitative and quantitave advancement of a nation, the development level of a country, a measure of how better off a country is on average in most aspects of life. Once your country is below a certain other country in the HDI rank, it goes a long way to show that your country IS the lesser developed of the 2, even though in certain aspects yours may actually be better than the other country. You can't downplay that
