Good day nairalanders. My name is PauL. I have a dream I do want to share with you all. Before I start, whether you believe it or not, it's not my concern, God would be the judge. So criticism is allowed. In that dream, i was walking in a place, though I can't recall where I was headed to. As i walking, an old man whose face I couldn't see clearly called me, at first I refused going, but He beckoned on me & I went reluctantly. As I approached Him, I frowned my face because I was angry. The man was holding a very big book, as big as the oxford dictionary (times 100 of that size). When He opened the book, I discovered that it was only the first page that had names written on it, meaning the remaining numerous pages were empty. The names I saw there weren't written in english from my observation, but somehow, i managed to understand that it was the names of people I never knew. Immediately I saw the names on the first page, I was uninterested & instantly angry because I didn't see how the names of people written in just the first page of a big book was my concern. I told the man that He had wasted my time & as I was about leaving, I turned & asked him what the names were for & what book was that. He then said WHAT I JUST SAW IS THE BOOK OF LIFE & THE NAMES WRITTEN THEREIN ARE THE NAMES OF BOOK THAT WERE TO BE RAPTURED IF THE TRUMPET SOUNDS. Immediately He said that, I became scared & went back to crosscheck the book. Dear nairalanders, to be honest with you all, I couldn't find my name & when I asked Him why, He said it means I am not following the right path of righteousness. I then looked again, & like I earlier said, observed that in such a big book, only the 1st page had names written therein. I asked Him why the remaining numerous pages were empty, He said Billions of people in the world are not yet prepared for The rapture & are already headed for hell. I started crying & begging him. He then told me that He is showing me this so that I can retrace my step & warn others. Immediately He said that, I woke up from sleep & I told my dad, we prayed about it. Since then, I've been trying to get closer to God. In summary, like I earlier said, if you don't believe me, it's your headache, not mine, because for everyone that reads this and doesn't believe, IT WILL STAND AS A WITNESS AGAINST YOU ON JUDGEMENT DAY. why not try to make your name enter the good books of Nigeria? make your name remembered by Nigerians that'll come after you, let them use your name as example of selflessness, patriotism, sacrifice, fairness etc

let your name be on every woman's lips when advising their children on how to be a good person

let your name be immortalised this way

leave the Jewish book for the Jews to worry about

I don't know who created me or how I came into existence but I won't fill that gap with gods either

Because I know what I ought to know, and that is the fact that God Exists, and that He created YOU & I, be you a Realist/Atheist or whatever. There are endless points to back it up. It's all around you. The hard truth is, you don't just want to believe. But that day is coming when you shall, that day, you would recall this thread I created on nairaland. This is what I believe, the God we Christian worship is not affected by the "time,space,matter continuum" , all of them has to come together at the same instance. They kind of interwoven for example, if there were a matter with no space, where would you fit matter, if there were matter with no time when will you put it, I hope you get the logic sha,so they have to exist simultaneously. If you check gen 1:1the bible says, "in the beginning (time), god created the heavens(space) and the earth(matter). So genesis 1:1 to me compressed what would have been a lengthy and voluminous tale of creation in one sentence. And also, for the debate of an intelligent design in creation,well I will say for every design has a purpose for which it is built and the designer will always have it at the back of his mind that he is creating and influencing his design to solve a particular problem or better still a need, so I will use the analogy of a computer. The designer of a computer is of course not in the computer he built,and as such is not limited by what goes on in the computer,he instead influence them either by the way of his reasoning,thoughts and even emotions. For you to create a system you cannot be the system, you rather influence the system by your thoughts and actions, so obviously God cannot be affected by space,time,matter because he knows his ways around them and how to manipulate them. To me he's simply above it beyond it and around it. It's very incomprehensible. If our body or lemme say our emotion,thoughts and reasoning are formed accidentally millions of eons ago, how than can you trust your reasoning process to lead you to a good, fair and logical conclusion. The questions that people keep asking about the origin of God is assuming a limited God, if we fit the concept of God in our limited brain, he will not be worth worshipping. Take for instance a student that has prepared and read thoroughly for an exam that is strictly based on what he has been thought in class. Tell me if he's going to be be afraid of sitting for the exam, he can even go to the length challenging the lecturer if he has been marked down. That to me suit the best analogy of man concept on the quest for knowing where God came from. I welcome criticisms, we are all here to learn. Thank you

lolz...can u further elaborate how my name links to me being indoctrinated into christianity? Ain't u getting things wrong. Almost all christian families enusures their new born gets to accept the ONE TRUE GOD; YAHWEH. but there comes a certain stage, when you now know between bad and good, and such a child who has now come of reasonable age will choose whom he/she wants to serve; either the one true God (which He is whether you accept or not) , the devil, other gods like u said or maybe choose to be a realist/atheist.
