Christmas is a celebration tht marks D bet of Jesus, it has its spiritual dimension. Now lemme make something clear here that people like d op dnt understand..... They are so shallow and they look for things n d Bible word for word.

When Judas died and d disciples needed someone to take his place, what did dey do??......... Did they go and look for scripture, they prayed and decided collectively a way out and Tht decision stood on earth and in heaven. Thts y d Bible says whatever u bind on earth is bound in heaven. Dnt forget the church is d body of Christ, n Christ is it's head..... So when the church collectively makes a decision, it does so as the body of Christ, as we c in d replacement of Judas.

So when the church decided 25th to mark D birth of Christ, it was done to replace the festival of d worship of the sun god. For those who argue tht Christmas is of pagan origin. That's a big lie D devil is spreading around. Christmas was used to replace tht pagan festival, and also as a means of drawing the pagans to Jesus Christ and abandoning their sun god. Which worked, today Rome is entirely a christain city, inshort it is d capital of the christain church.

Mtchewww. I am a Catholic and I am proud to tell u that Jesus the Son took flesh and came to earth to redeem me. I need to celebrate that.

Pls, read the book of Romans from chapter 8 or 14 down. Till u get the point wia u re told that people chose the day worship, Sabbath or non sabbath, but since it's the same God dey call onto, let them.

God judges a man based on his everyday activities and not on days of the week. I can choose to celebrate christmas on 1st December every year and it's nobody's business. Paul said that no one should judge another based on days, weeks, new moon or any other special event one wished to engage in. Yet, everything that one does, both in words and deeds should be done to the glory of God.

Truth be told, I am Christian and was obsessed with Christmas when I was younger but immediately I grew up and learn the truth that Christmas z not recorded in the Bible and that it hv some pagan links, I stopped being obsessed with it, though we do cook rice that day, I will not lie, but I go with Jehovah's witnesses believe on this one.

If you reason it out, considering the gods of all the tribes and cultures around the world; that means there will be no day left out of 365/366 to have a celebration dedicated to Our Lord Jesus Christ.

If one feels any uneasiness about 25 December, pls feel free to celebrate sometime later or earlier. But note that the day you selected will be tied to one god or goddess somewhere in the world.

Back to your question. Mary the mother of our Lord Jesus marked His birthday. How did we know Jesus's age if His family
didn't mark it(Jewish tradition of numbering their days) . (it wasn't marked by the church institutionally then. )Acts1:14 shows Mary and some of Jesus's brothers or probably sisters became disciples and were filled with the Holy Ghost.

If you are truly a part of His family, you will want to celebrate Him one way or the other. Don't let the when distract us from the Who of the season.

Nb: OP ! Could you kindly change the word Xmas to Christmas. Without the Christ it loses its meaning.

Frankincense: is sometimes used in worship in Churches and showed that people child worship Jesus.

Checking the scripture from Genesis to revelation their is nothing like xmas celebration in it. Can't find any of Jesus Christ disciples who celebrated xmas also. If we are celebrating xmas then someone made the rules and we follow.

Although it is not in the bible and no date is actually stated for Jesus birth I dont think its wrong to celebrate the birth of our saviour,some say that day was used to celebrate a sun god in d olden days,I believe the purpose behind d celebration is what matters not the date

If you believe that Christ was born, you don't need to believe in 25th December as his birthday but as a date set aside by Christians globally to celebrate or commemorate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ! It's not a must that you commemorate His birth in 25th December! If December isn't comfortable, please feel free to adopt a favourable date and make sure such date doesn't coincide with any secular event

I celebrate or commemorate the birth of Christ on this date... My personal conviction is that of commemorating Christ' birth! Whether the date coincides with any pagan celebration is non of my business... If you Jehovah's Witnesses are not comfortable with that date, please chose the one that is favourable to you, thanks!
