referring to ipob as a small group is a grave mistake, revolutions have been carried out by less. we're no longer interested in the contraption called Nigeria. |

This guy is trying too hard to win some elites from the south. If even though what he saying is the right thing to say but I think is it all political talk. Give Atiku the presidency and see him give hundreds of reasons while Nigeria is OK the way it is. |

Atiku is 100% correct |

ThinkSmarter:You did not include my name in the list of young minds to rule this country! trust me by the time u say Jack those u mentioned who ar already medling and drowning in the current political poo wont be best fit for tha position. As the Presidency will still revolve around these known fathers and early children of the Nigerian State. I can rule this country 12 - 16 years from nw...Support and canvass 4me! |

Idealist talk...much harder to implement. Agreed, the centre is too powerful and over stretched! Tell me why the FG must be in charge of the Police or the 'Federal' roads or even doling out money to the states monthly. Why create states if the FG wants to be responsible for all this. First step is scrap the weak states because no amount of autonomy given to some states will make them viable. Secondly, empower the local governments. This is the level of government that brings actual development to the people. In fact, the local government should be the most powerful arm...ideally. In summary, Atiku go and sit down, we know you want to contest for president in 2019. You may be making the right noise but we know its for popularity and votes but it doesn't change the fact that you are corrupt. |

It's a no-brainer! The components states of any federal arrangement should statutorily have the power to carry much of the burden: economically and financially. What was the idea behind the creation of so many states?-selfish reasons. As it's unfolding before everyone now, these states are not economically viable because of the present arrangement. They rely heavily on the centre for survival. And now that the the economic fortunes of the nation have changed, the fortunes of these states too, as a consequence have suffered.A solution for me is for some of these states to merge, surrender some of their powers to a new order, ratified by the National Assembly. In fact, nothing stops Lagos and Ogun States from merging and become one very virile and productive unit. |

... Every Tom, Dick and Harry knows that complete restructuring, resource control, true federalism is the only solution to Nigerian problem. Keep postponing it, you are merely bringing doomsday closer. |

I agree with Atiku;Nigeria needs to practice true fiscal Federalism. But we all know that Atiku is only playing to the gallery by saying what most Nigerians want to hear. Can Atiku restructure Nigeria?Hell no.He cant .We all know that Atiku is part of the politician class that benefits from the status quo and would not like to change it. What we need is a young and progressive technocrat not these career politicians which Atiku is among. |

ThinkSmarter:Yes they can but, they will be talked down by 'elders' and contemporaries, and the cycle continues. It is like we as a people are tuned for old people (baba) leadership cos we respect age not content! |
