Hey Mummies... christmas day is almost here. What meals are you going to prepare for your family? As for me i am totally at lost. Rice in all forms is a staple for us and i would like to do something different. Any ideas anyone? Can we swap recipes and stuff?

Merry Christmas

I'd have suggested Creamy Alfredo Pasta but cheese is sorta a luxury right now...

How about Coconut Shrimp Curry? Though it's still served with rice?
http://www.stuckonsweet.com/coconut-shrimp-curry-with-red-pepper-and-spinach/#_a5y_p=4614739

Then Apple pie and vanilla ice cream for dessert (but you will gain 5kg in weight!) If you have an oven or my sis used to do chilled fresh fruit in yorghurt and I did pineapple black raisin salad (it was nice).

Brazilian Fish stew?
http://www.recipetineats.com/brazilian-fish-stew-moqueca-baiana/

Do you have a variety of Spices at home? It makes it easier to cook foreign dishes. Though staples like heavy cooking cream, mushrooms, broccoli and cauliflower, butter, different seafood and different cheeses are now big man food cry even Red Delicious and Granny smith apples are now like N100 to N130 for one.

Gbagaun! Gbagbaun! (That's how a bell sounds in my ears).

Today is the Christmas Edition of #THREADBABIES!!!!!
Where are the Santa outfits, bring it onnnnnn!

(Please remember, time your pictures. After a certain period, take them down).

If you wanna do #SantaComingYourWay, mention a moniker and ask them what network they use and pm them a recharge card. Nothing is too little, even if it is N100, it's the thought that counts, put a smile on someone's face and try and do it for monikers you don't normally speak to. Our UK mummies can join as well.

Fina8404, eolowu1 and Zionx and Comtem2011, please could you get ready to lead us for prayers tomorrow? Thank you very much.

Alreit, LET'S DO THIS!!

Hmm, it could be anything o, sudocrem may not be able to clear it because Sudocrem has specific things it treats. Have you shown it to a Dr? Do that first and depending on what he/she recommends, check for a cream. You don't want to be flinging money around testing products.

Dexterush so for the loss of that child. Very sad when it can be preventable.

I will put a question to mamas and papas here generally, please answer with the first thing that comes to your head... no googling, dont ask anyone around you. There is no right or wrong answer. Shouting "blood of Jesus" is an ok answer to put as well.

Assuming you are alone and a baby is choking, what do you do, also assuming no one is there to help?

Able mama's Abeg make una help me torchlight this matter.
My ds is 10weeks old, I started supplementing with formula (90mls Aptamil) when he turned 8weeks. He accepted it so well for that first two weeks although he never finishes anything more than 90mls. He just started rejecting this same formula since this week and today he cried so much and has refused to even take a drop. I don't know what could be wrong. He currently weighs 6.5kg. Am due to resume work in 2weeks. Don't know what to do.

Hello mommas in the house, Complements of the season.
I am a FTM and my LO clocked 8months few days ago. I have been trying to give her solid food since 6months ( she has been on formula as she willingly stopped BF since 2months as i wasnt lactating well, though she is very active, agile and brilliant as she already pronounces some words like halleluyah and claps.), i have tried cooking blended noodles with part with fish and part with egg yolk, i pureed potatos, apples, i cooked beans after pilling, ewedu with fish and very soft amala. Infact i have tried a whole lot but she doesn't accept any. She only accepts biscuits and muffins a liitle but i guess its too much sugar.
She also recently stopped taking enfamil. I noticed this coz she refused to eat well for like 2days. So i got Nutriben 8grains with 4 fruits and she now eats like every 3hrs. When i try the enfamil, she refuses to take it and you wont believe i just ordered 10tins of enfamil.
My dilemma now is how do i get her to eat solids and what kind of milk can i give her because even though Nutriben has milk, i believe she still needs a separate regular milk. Pls advise

I've not tried chicco products before. I actually love sebamed ( though expensive but do last for a long time). I'm using palm kernel oil for now but will still check the store ma'am sugarcanebabe suggested.

If I come across chicco and I have some money to play around with,I might buy it so as to compare the smell, chicco has baby perfume, does sabamed have too?
