The head is rotten.

Buhari started lying as early as 7, when he claimed he got his invisible WAEC certificate.

Now, APC lies for fun.

Now, the Nigerian Army can lie for Africa and Europe combined.

What's with this government and lies?

Meanwhile, I hope DSS catches Premium Times folks and pay them for helping out Nigeria in this mess.

Is he planning on doing a 'Dele Giwa' on the Editors of Premium Times?

We know who to hold responsible should any harm comes the way of any of them.

I think it is high time our media outlets move from 'war journalism' to 'peace journalism'. War journalism is basically aimed at reporting conflict in a more furious manner.
It is journalism about
conflict that has a value bias towards
violence and violent groups. In War journalism, only the differences between the parties involved are reported.
Peace Journalism, however, is reporting conflict in a manner that emphasizes the consequences of the 'conflict' where all the actors and stakeholders consider and value non-
violent responses to conflict.
When it comes to National security, the truth is media organizations may compromise some of the ethics of Journalism like Objectivity and balance. National security is more important than even public interest here. PremiumTimes is a professional media outlet, therefore they should operate in line with the existing system.
If they say they are reporting the fact, 'facts' itself is a category of
practically infinite size. News are always shaped to present a reality. Professionalism is key.

Not long ago, Jonathanians hated premium times with a passion as a devilish media outfit for exposing the numerous trash which GEJ's government represented. Now they hold on to premium times as their darling. But just give it a while, very soon PT would publish a report critical of GEJ and they would return to antagonist mode. grin
Very emotionally unstable beings!

Nigerian army let it be known to you that you can kill the body but you cant kill the soul!

You want premium times to pretend like other newspapers and keep quiet while you kill our gallant troops with starvation in the sambisa jungle!

you forgot those soldiers are peoples brothers, sisters, husband and friends!

the entire social media will be watching you and your actions towards premium times - you guys should understand that social media has given power to the masses!

Let the leaders of the Nigerian army do any how to Premium times and they will see anyhow from the Nigerian masses!

SAY NO TO SILENT KILLING OF OUR GALLANT SOLDIERS THRU STARVATION! angry

Premium times think they are doing a good job, but to me this is foolishness in the highest order. Most people that come here to type rubbish don't know what these soldiers and their commanders are facing. Your home preparing to eat christmas rice with your mouth while these soldiers are suffering in the bush. SHAME ON TO PEOPLE THAT THINK BACKWARDS. This kind of report will bring nothing but enmity.

Can you withstand the sound of a common .22 calibre pistol? Why is it that people just type rubbish without thinking. Can you do simple obstacle crossing? Can you stay in the bush under hot sun for just 30mins

And we are reading this story from Premium Times, OP wouldn't it have been better to get this story from another source?

Once I got to realise it was Premium times reporting on a complaint against it, I lost interest in continuing to read the news story.

@ topic

When your natiion is at war, it is important that our press do not publish news in a way that would give the enemy confidence.

Also Premium Times is simply wrong to refer to Boko Haram as an insurgency, because Boko Haram has no known grievances or objectives, therefore making them merely terrorists.

Premium times and other media need to stop forthwith referring to BH as insurgents this legitimises these terrorists, so in this sense , the General is right.
Re: Army Accuses PREMIUM TIMES Of Supporting Boko Haram by duni04(m): 11:41am On Dec 24, 2016
Lucky Irabor must be very complicit in all the wrong happenings and fraud happening with the Army in the NE.
As the theatre commander, instead of begging the cooperation of his troops and apologising for starving them on occasion, like anyone with eyes saw in the two videos, he's defending his wickedness and callousness to those soldiers and threatening the soldiers for complaining that they're hungry.
How a human being with children at home can treat another persons child the way Lucky Irabor is treating soldiers in the NE baffles me.

No. Premium Times and SR is doing the job the Press is meant to do in a democratic society, condemn what is wrong so that things can change for the better.

And I for one am glad they are doing it regardless of who is in charge. Yesterday it was PDP, today APC.

If we pretend everything is OK....PMB or GEJ, we will eventually end up with a situation where the mess becomes too big to control.

The point of criticism is not to make one look bad, but to save one from worse things.
when we talk about criticism, we have to differentiate between constructive and destructive criticism... What Premiumtimes and SR did mostly during GEJ regime is distrucrive criticism and everyone in this forum then knew how APC played politics with issues of national security.. So like I said, what goes around comes around!!

You must be a very wicked person in real life to have posted this rubbish here. Two videos surfaced online showing how soldiers were being starved almost to death in Sambisa forest and also showing how these same soldiers almost manhandled their commanding officer because they felt they had been abandoned to die.
All premium times did was to do an editorial on the contents of the videos and you're here talking nonsense about how they shouldn't have.
The videos were made by the soldiers themselves, not by premium times! Get that into your skull.
How General Irabor can so openly act ignorant and foolish in denying the contents of that video baffles me. It wasn't audio o, video!
Very shameful!
Re: Army Accuses PREMIUM TIMES Of Supporting Boko Haram by Nobody: 12:09pm On Dec 24, 2016
Boko Haram can only gain confidence and comfort from such reports.
The terrorist are facing far worst challenges than our troops, but you would not find them publicising their problems.

Just common sense. In a war situation you must not make reports that brings comfort to your enemy and at same time which may lower morale of our troops.

What nonsense are you spewing for Christ's sake? Did premium times go to Sambisa to make that video? Soldiers were starving to death and they made a video, two videos actually, of themselves in the bush dying of hunger. Premium tines erred in publicising the video? Please let's try to act human in everything we do.
Nigeria has budgeted billions for the war in the North East. No soldier, absolutely no soldier should be complaining about food or supplies unless somebody is looting the money meant for these troops. Lucky Irabor is my number 1 suspect. The way he has responded to these leaked videos shows he is culpable.

Good job PT unlike America media you are only obligated to the truth.

Anybody that allows those men fighting for us to starve and fight ill equipped are enemies of the Federation.

GEJ was stopped by every International country to buy arms, this administration has so much backing and billions in loans to fight Boko Harem, yet and still two years later the Armed Forces are worst off.
Why?
Worst of?
