Hi! Everyone. Compliment of the season.


Almost all youths in Nigeria today use Android phone. We are always greeted with a notification buzz whenever we put on our mobile data.

Some of these notifications, we can afford to read the messages later, while some seem to draw our attention the most that we wouldn't mind eating hot eba and egusi soup with one hand and checking our phone with the other hand.


Which of these notifications attract your attention and excite you the most and why?

1) Whatsapp

2) Facebook

3) Skype

4) BBM

5) Fiverr

6) E-mails

7) Snapchat

8 Nairaland

9) Upwork

10) Others. Specify...

As for me, it's Fiverr notification with that little superscript "fi" symbol.

Reason? Money! Money! and more Money!

I hate fiverr it kinda cheapens my work upwork though is something am looking to start full time toptal is looking good and crossover

I just went through toptal. The requirements are too much. you must have CV, fill current job and all that.


Same with other freelance sites like Upwork, freelancer, peopleperhour, etc.

This is the reason Fiverr will still be the best choice for beginners. Easy to join, totally free unless when you make sales. Very relaxing policies etc.

I have applied to join Upwork for three times now but yet my application were all declined.

I am yet to see a freelance site that feeds thousands like "Fiverr.com"

If you know other freelance sites, quote me.

Hmmmm for me maybe because it fits what I do Software programming but I never knew upwork to be that strict , there's another people per hour similar to fiverr but have you earned money via fiverr and how did you transfer to your bank. I get request but had to pause it as I felt 5$ was way to little for the service I do
