tx ma! i appreciate. dis the picture of the well kid i ve i dont know if is the same thing or mine is just a supplement

Multivitamin - I recommend wellbaby. Picture attached.

Have you tried time proven classics like bread and milo?

Prepare a thick cup of milo and Peak milk (since he's one, he can take cow milk). Get fresh bread and dip little chunks of the bread in the tea and give it to him. To further entice him, you can use a silver teaspoon and also feed yourself one or two spoons (make sure he's watching you and make funny sounds with your mouth) and then you offer him the "milo soaked" bread.

What type of potatoes do you give him? Irish or sweet? Try sweet potatoes. Well boiled, marsh and add a dash of butter.

You can try other cereals - corn flakes, shreedies, granola, wheatabix. Prepare them using warm water and powdered milk. The cereal should be a little soggy as this makes it easier for babies to chew and swallow. (I usually prepare mine with hot water, then I drain the hot water, pour warm water and then add powdered milk). Make sure it's creamy so be generous with the milk. Add a little honey to sweeten.

Semo isn't everyone's favourite. Personally, I hate it so I won't be suprised if any baby doesn't like it. Other Nigerian swallow you can try is wheat (the Honeywell packaged wheat). Try another type of soup such as efo riro (spinach, tomatoes, ball peppers, fish, little oil, small sprinkle of curry and thyme, no salt or maggi).

You need to stylishly get him into a feeding routine. Try and give him solids in between his breast feeds. For example, before I weaned my son, he could breastfeed at 6pm, have a proper meal say 7.30pm to 8pm, he baths and then sometimes I offer him a slice of bread (or half) with milo and then it's bedtime.

Finally, get a high chair. Have him sit at the dinner table with you and watch you eat. This will ignite his interest in food as he will be keen to have his own plate/spoon and also copy you as you eat.

Mamas in the house. There is this chilled bottle of white wine that has been looking at me so lovingly for the past two days. Is it OK to drink it since I'm breastfeeding. In the spirit of Christmas

Read back a bit you'd find some tips! The topic has been discussed quite often.

The milk you settle for to augment will eventually depend on you, affordability and availability in your locality as well.

There's lots to choose from nan, sma, aptamil, enfamil etc

Many mums are encouraged to hold out on starting cereals/ solids till baby is six months but ultimately the choice is yours and there are a few random cereals a four months old baby can take.

Hope this helps

Hello wonderful mothers...pls what can I use to clear "eela ' on my baby s body. Thanks for your response

Usually it's best to put up a picture as different people have different interpretation of this eela of a thing. With the picture someone with a prior experience may be able to offer advice.

I for eg have heard that those red acalypha leaves boiled and used to bathe babies with eela works well.

Just like babythug said pick any formula you can afford on the long run. Feed her every 3 hours using the feeding guide indicated on the tin! Also breastfeed inbetween.

Compliment of the season house

I think 10ml is okay. How often is what I don't know.

Yeah. That quantity is about right and then gradually increase it as baby gets older.

Milk should always be priority and you do not want her taking more water than milk.

Lmao. Thou shall resist temptation. cheesy

I think it's best to avoid alcohol whilst breastfeeding. Some of it gets absorbed into breast milk.

Juliao, na so plenty mouth dey enter new mom mata, for now, just avoid cold drinks at least for a month and use only warm water to bath. Then obey helovesme rule of no alcohol drinking but helovesme, I took a big sip of red wine today and it tasted soo good, still in my fridge, should I take more pls grin.
Drink pap and hot tea for more breastmilk. My two cents sha. Enjoy vigilante.

I think any alcohol you take leaves your bloodstream within 2 to 4 hours. To be on the safe side I waited for 5 hours the last time I drank properly. Two full cups of palm wine, was too sweet I could not resist.

You can eat almost everything jo. Hot liquids help lactation and metabolism. Peppersoup/ uda water clears the uterus (they say).

How can you be underweight? They're not pounding yam for you?
