Is not even about the refund, it about how these money being collected have being managed.

We want the anti-graft agency to come out clean with the federal government.

You said you have been collecting back looted money, but we still go out to borrow, and our economy is nothing to write home about.

People are starving due to excessive hunger, pensioners who have worked tirelessly are being owe, even the workers are crying of non payment.

Collect these money and start using them to make good policies that would benefits the people.

Jafaru Isa never argued he was somehow deserving of the money.
He never beat his arrogant chest daring the government to take him to court if they had a case against him.
He cooperated from day1 and availed himself of Buhari's stated waiver of recouping stolen funds and not caring about prosecution of those who would voluntarily cooperate to return said funds.

Olisa Metuh being a cunning and unrepentant political criminal in the mould the Nigerian law school churns out yearly, called for a press conference to declare he did special assignment for the regime of Jonathan. Nobody had openly stated he was being investigated on any matter, but a cunning thief never steals and run away, rather he keeps his ears close to the ground to learn about any investigation into the matter.
So Metuh became privy to the investigation of his crime and shouted his innocence from the rooftops under the umbrella of political misfortune, as he heard police siren blaring from 14 streets away - the hallmark reaction of a guilty conscience.

Metuh was soon arrested. He was prevailed upon to return the monies obtained from the ONSA, but arrogantly declined. He boldly dared the prosecution to charge him to court that as a man who worked hard for his riches, he had no free money to give any begging government. Later he made a statement only to chew up the paper like a hungry goat trying to destroy evidence that could destroy his presidential benefactor.

The uncooperative Metuh was finally charged and appeared in court in handcuffs and his emotional village people ranted that instead he should have been afforded a red carpet entrance with free hands waving to mentally teenage fans. A royal treatment that a former governor of Kogi or Police IG from Osun were not afforded.

From gimmick to gimmick, the previously court eager Metuh employed all sorts of delay tactics. Most notable of all was feigning sickness with a need to travel abroad, and claiming familiarity with the Judge because they graduated in the same set of law school. The same Judge Metuh would not deign to acknowledge when he was in the corridor of power collecting illegal funds from offices he should not have access to.

When he was finally broken with all the evidence tabled against him, the now weakened Metuh has become the one begging government to accept his offer to now return the N400m.

He arrogantly beat his chest only to humble himself like Isa Jafaru, but not before wasting money on fellow criminal lawyers, and a bad publicity, and a decline of his health. All for the love of dirty money, the lure of filthy lucre, Olisah Metuh trapped himself in court prosecution, while Isa Jafaru, a Muslim, is celebrating Christmas like the Pope.
