EMMAACHILE:i appreciate ur good advice. I knw dat broiler grow faster than noiler bt marketing should be put into consideration, i'm nt leaving in a city like state capital what interested me in noiler is that it can be sold to a local market, i knw a guy who used to raise broiler for this festive period he wl have to engage all his family member to help him market it which i dislike so that is the major reason y i'm going for noiler. |

EMMAACHILE:That's great. It is really just that difference in size that is the big problem with Noilers. |

Pictures of my 11 weeks Noilers weighing average of 1.8kg. Sorry my phone camera is not so sharp, but if you look well, you would see the chickens weigh pretty close to 2kg. My next mission will be getting Noilers to 3.5kg in 14 weeks.

kayo80:My noilers hardly stay quiet like yours here. Very hard to take their weights with the camera. My wife will place them on the scale while i try to take the shots with a camera and in a second or two, they have jumped off. ![]() |

EMMAACHILE:Haha! Same with mine. It took me and my bother several minutes before we could take the pictures. You can see my brother's hand ready to catch them as they jump off the scale in some of the pictures. |

somebody02:Very true. People don't really know them. I tried to explain to some market women that they are a hybrid...like a cross between local chickens and Broilers, it was like I was speaking jargon. They thought some of the Noilers were local chickens, they thought some were Cockerels, and thought the females were old layers. I just left it at that. It can be frustrating. I think the best thing would be to sell it killed and dressed to frozen food people or restaurants who buy per KG. |

barnabas47:Broilers are more acceptable than Noilers. If it was just about business and money, I would not even touch Noilers at all...it is just cos they fascinate me. People don't even know what Noilers are at this point, so they price them very low cos the chickens look like local chickens. |
